Anti-Vax people are just insane. The Federal Government should pass a law allowing children of anti-vaxers to get vaccinated while at school. Terrible people sharing fake news that actually harms. It's like shouting fire in a crowded room.

OK, here goes the slippery slope! What else should kids NOT need parental consent for?!?!

Slippery slope fallacy. Nothing else.
We are talking about disease prevention. This is a communal issue. Some people are allergic to vaccines. They can't get them. We need as many people as possible immune to these diseases.

I agree anti vaxxers are insane, but that’s a slippery slope letting kids do things without parental consent.

The problem with this reasoning is that it avoids engaging with the issue at hand, and instead shifts attention to extreme hypotheticals. Because no proof is presented to show that such extreme hypotheticals will in fact occur, this fallacy has the form of an appeal to emotion fallacy by leveraging fear. In effect the argument at hand is unfairly tainted by unsubstantiated conjecture.

And in Louisiana they don’t.

I think they are dumbarses but that’s not a road I want to go down.

You should follow the Merck trial going on. They are being exposed in court. That should be what is getting your attention.

Should kids need parental consent to get aborted?

I think anti-vaccers are silly but the slippery slope is still real

Kids should get drugs without parental consent.

When dealing with government there are no extreme hypotheticals. Once government is given a power it uses it

Lol..youre a world class moron

I don’t get why people are so scared about kids not getting vaccines. If your kid gets the vaccination and it actually works then you have nothing to worry about .

Truth.
Alas. It is taught by people who believe in an ideology that absolutely COUNTS ON the reality of the slippery slope. The slippery slope is literally part of their fricking plan.

If not a fallacy, it’s definitely a lazy argument.
