From what I can tell the allegations around Swalwell have more teeth. McCarthy is just trying to get a jab in on Gaetz. Unnecessary. He is irrelevant to the Swalwell story.

They didn’t turn on him because he got caught. They turned on him because he started becoming a threat to Golden Boy Gavin and his ‘28 run. If he doesn’t start making gains in his run for governor pointing out what Gav has done wrong and sucking the oxygen out of the room for the last year of his governorship none of this ever comes out.
You don’t have a history of doing shite like this as a national figure and only just now get “caught” when you’re running for governor and making the termed out guy who happens to be the family favorite that wants a promotion look bad (despite of what he did to himself to do that.
