Any attempt to suggest that perhaps a diplomatic solution should be pursued in order to avert the horrific damage from further war, to say nothing of the very real risks of nuclear exchange, is immediately castigated as proof that one is a Kremlin asset or apologist.
There is certainly a diplomatic solution. Have Russia exit all of Ukraine (borders January 2022) and, now, maybe, return Crimea to Ukraine. Russia won't accept.

Who's responsible for this crime in Crimea?
Crimea had been historically Russian from time immemorial. The Ukraine has no legitimate claim to this territory

Holy shite. You people are fricking weird. It’s like a virus. SFP is obviously infected now too.
There’s an interesting undeniable overlap between covidians and Ukraine fanatics that I’ve noticed too. Not really shocking to be honest.

I'm a big fan of free trade. Russia is fricking that up for the world. Russia is now losing because of a relatively low investment (especially compared to the costs of this going on for 5-10 years). The added bonus is a potential thwarting of future bad acts by bad actors (like China and Taiwan, which would really frick the US up economically).

It was a mostly peaceful bridge explosion

It is also a move which may be perceived by Russians as an attack inside their country, status of Crimea notwithstanding. It's going to piss Russians off, either against Putin, or against Ukraine.
After the pipeline and the bridge, if Putin wishes to retain his power, he must strike back and in such a manner that it hurts the West and the US enough to satisfy the outrage in Russia. Doing nothing, risks his own neck. This is what happens when you escalate.
So start knocking satellites out of the sky? Knock out the internet? Knock out power? Use a tactical nuke? What is enough to satisfy the Russia people and the political factions?

Well the official government line is that this was an accident, so it doesn't seem that they're using this to incite the population or escalate their efforts.

Ukraine is definitely worth nuclear war because Hunter Biden once had a high paying corporate oil job there.

Everyone knows the war must end with a deal. The six month delay isn’t due to your superior wisdom; it’s due to you being a pussy. If you were in charge we would have cut a deal with Russia early on, when they were strong, and they would have half of Ukraine. Instead, we supported Ukraine, armed them with superior weapons, and forced Russia into defeat. Now we will make a deal on favorable terms. Thankfully we didn’t listen to wimps.
Who is this “we” you speak of?
frick Ukraine. I didn’t give a shite about Ukraine before this and I don’t now. It’s a corrupt country filled with mostly Russians. If you want to fight for them go over there and do it yourself. Just don’t say “we” are fighting.

for starters power and internet should have been knocked out from the offset. tactical nuke is insanity. Russians are probably baffled why Kiev isn't in rubles, terrorist attacks in Moscow, pipelines and Crimean bridge.

Bet he's got one of these on his Reddit account.

Interesting, just scanned a lot of Russian media (pro and anti Putin) and European media and there is nothing on this development.
How shocking

I’m not sure what you are gloating about. If Ukraine can hit that bridge, why wouldn’t they?
You said something would happen in October. Well that’s 30 days. Lots of shite can happen in 30 days and you would point “see!? See!?”
Not sure why you are panicking over this event? Are you saying Putin will now use tac nukes now?

The Ukrainians or us did this. It’s an escalation and the war thread is finally starting to realize what they’ve been advocating for for 7 months. They’re about to get a nice taste of their own medicine, and they know it.
It’s an escalation if we did it. If Ukraine did it then it’s just a smart tactic. Ukraine was invaded you can’t expect them to roll over and take it

terrorist attacks in Moscow,
Yes, I forgot to mention the assassination in Moscow.

I still can't understand why there is even a single intact bridge over the Dnieper. Strikes against the Ukraine are one thing but I expect the real pressure is to strike back at the US and the West.

Because Russia miscalculated this whole operation.
They thought they would invade quickly, get to Kyiv and force terms. Then they would rule over Ukraine as a puppet state.
No reason to blow up critical infrastructure if you plan on making it a satellite nation of your country.

Unlike them, I’ve made peace with this and formulated a plan. They have not. I’m going to be the one that is calm when the nukes go off, and they’ll be the ones flipping their shite.
Oh, give me a break.
You flip your shite if Megan Markle wears black shoes with a green dress.
If nukes start flying, you’ll be just as panicked as anybody else.

You are a buffoon. You’re claiming to be a sage for pointing out that Putin could use nukes. Everyone has been talking about that since Putin was forced on the defensive. And it’s perfectly obvious that a country, losing a war, would use its most powerful weapon.
Putin’s invasion has failed. If he wants to remain in control of Russia he will have to accept very ugly peace terms. You can bet that his Generals and other subordinate leaders are being approached by Western Intelligence and are being compromised so that, if Putin orders the use of WMD, the order will be disobeyed and Putin removed.
Maybe it won’t go that way, but it is being setup.
Oh frick off Kinzinger. You all blindly dismissed any criticism or nuance to this war. If it wasn’t good news for the Ukrainians or made Russians into anything less than total monsters, you all flipped out. You’re all shite faced on war and shoot the messenger on anything you consider a killjoy to your war games.
Again this is all just a game to y’all and now y’all are finally starting to see the actual big picture here. Only unconditional surrender from Putin was an acceptable outcome for y’all, and many of us have told y’all that just isn’t going to happen. A cornered animal does not surrender, he lashes out. Merely understanding this simple human nature and you were called a Putin cocksucker over there. Yes I want Putin to lose and for Russia to get a new good leader, but you’ve got to consider the other possibilities of which y’all completely refuse.

My neighbors don’t know I have it, and if you try it, well I could part with a few rounds to defend it. frick around and find out.

I guess the Russians were trying to win hearts and minds. counter insurgency never works. best way to to go about it is to level a whole city to smoke out people you're trying to kill. you have to be willing to accept civilian casualties if you're going to war.
