Path has been cleared for Ralph Abraham, who do yall like with Abraham versus JBE?

Lol no. This clears the path for Rispone or Abraham.
JBE is only in office because the LaGOP couldn’t figure out who wanted to run.
Here comes the made scramble to fill the void as we will see most of these announce within the next few weeks now that Kennedy's out.
La. Rep. Cameron Henry
Sen. Sharon Hewitt
Stephne Waguespack (Head of LABI)
US Rep. Garrett Graves
La. Rep Lance Harris
Sen. Bret Allain
Public Service Commissioner guy whose name isn't on the tip of my tongue too.

He just reelected JBE. Nobody knows who Ralph Abraham and Eddie Rispone are. They've got no brand power.

I could see Harris taking a shot

Does this mean JBE gets a second term then?
Unless something drastic happens, yes.
His primary stance will probably be that he's turned the state around financially. He'll argue that he went into the position facing the worst financial crisis the state has ever seen and he's "worked tirelessly with both parties to fix these issue" (or some similar language).
He's already been talking up his working relationship with the White House so I expect him to try to add himself as a primary player in the projects Graves has been able to get going (I10 expansions here and outside Lafy, Comite diversion, duplication of benefits, etc).

Truly think it will be a very small field with the way the last election went, I do not disagree with you that 4 or 5 may throw their name in the hat but token support so that they can flip to whoever gets the nod and get something out of it. Cameron Henry fits this bill as does, think Allain will not run as long as whichever candidate promises him beads and trinkets that he wants.

The Republicans & White House can't afford to have a Democratic Governor in office. They have to find the right candidate now because we have redistricting coming up which will be enormous and its possible Louisiana could lose another Congressional seat.

I agree on Rispone but not on Abraham in circles that matter he is fine, 900,000 registered republicans definitely know who he is already and he will get the backing win he gets the nod of the GOP stars in the state. I think the biggest factor will be Alario.

Ugh. It hurts because you are correct.

Were you staying a U.S. Congressman doesn't have any name appeal?

No matter who is governor it cannot happen to get Dems multiple seats in the delegation. Now redistricting for other things possibly.

No I was responding to someone who said Rispone and Abraham had no name recognition in the state. Abraham will do fine, will he win idk if he has the chops quite honestly to run the campaign needed.

I’m a R who will NEVER vote for Rispone. I’ll hold my nose and push the button for JBE.
Not going to ask your reasoning for this, but did you do the same for Vitter/JBE?
