I think Trump and Ron throwing Covid jabs at each other is a bad look for both of them but part of Ron's rep was how he responded to Covid later on but he was 100% pretty authoritarian on his mandates early on.

He just feels a bit too guarded in what he’s putting out and it’s coming across as all too calculated and even controlled. This whole, I’m not REALLY running yet, but I’m going all over spouting a bunch of general platitudes (really no POLICIES) so people can see me, is just falling real flat in my view. I think it’s a big reason he’s “lost his luster.”
