I agree that private companies aren't subject to free speech rules.. but, I believe pre-elon Twitter should've been subject to free speech laws, because the government was basically wearing that private company like a skinsuit...and forcing their will on the people through the platform.

Why was he suspended?
Knowing that unhinged assclown, he probably called for the murder of Trump.

That's cool. You are too much of a pussy to ever say that to anyone IRL so enjoy doing it on a message board.
Lol I just saw this. I trash-talk all the time. I'd definitely say this to your face.

Donie O'Sullivan's last tweet was just a statement from the LAPD on Elon's incident.

Nope; Or rather, without an archive, we can't know for sure other than his last tweet, which was the LAPD statement.

So if I post that LSU's jet during a coaching search is in Austin, Texas, for example, that should be enough for a suspension?

Then why was BezosJet suspended? Were there credible threats of harm posed to him?

Let me reverse this question on you. Do you think a twitter account made to post the exact location of an individual be against the law if it is made to intimidate?
The answer is it is against the law

Color me skeptical, based on a few of the last tweets I've seen.

These jet accounts have existed for some time, so I'm skeptical that they were 'made to intimidate.' What is the exact standard at play here? Is there some section of US law that is relevant here that you could link me to?

California Penal Code § 653.2 PC – Electronic Cyber Harassment
This is a state law for California that specifically targets cyber harassment, such as doxing. It makes it illegal for any person to use an electronic device, such as a computer, phone, or tablet to:
Intentionally cause another person to fear for their safety
Harass, torment, terrorize or cause injury to another person with no legitimate purpose
Make personal and identifying information or electronic messages of a harassing nature available to view or download
Violating this law can result in up to one year in county jail, and/or a fine of up to $1,000.

Elon uses the FAA PIA privacy program for a private plane ID. When using a PIA address, the owner is anon and private, not public. Sweeney’s workaround is (likely) to spot a (rare) ICAO plane resembling Musk’s & noting the private code.

18 U.S. Code § 2261A (2015) – Stalking
This law runs through the federal courts and was originally written to target stalking. But the wording allows it to apply to cyberstalking and doxing.
It allows charges to be filed against anyone:
Intending to injure, intimidate, harass, surveil, or worse, uses a computer or electronic communication service or system to:
Place another person in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury, or;
Cause, attempt to cause, or would reasonably expect to cause substantial emotional distress to a person.

I really don't think a bot written to post the location of a bunch of billionaire's private jets amounts to any of those standards. The punishment sounds super serious too!

So your opinion is that the people that were banned were not trying to harass or intimidate? That's fair. It's your opinion. My opinion is your opinion is shite, and my opinion is that those people were in violation of the law and using the doxing to at the very least harass

Well, we can go on a case-by-case basis. Donie O'Sullivan, definitely not. Aaron Rupar's last tweet was about the apparent hypocrisy of Musk taking a photo of someone else next to a photo of the new TOS amendments. I'm very skeptical that any were trying to 'harass or intimidate,' save for Olbermann, who is a weird count anyway.

I'm sure it will be litigated. Surely.
