You don't have ejection seats on a cargo plane that has passengers/ crew because the pilots aren't going to eject and leave the crew stranded.
It sounds like these planes flew into each other damn near head to head. No clue how that happened.
But if that was the case, outside of ejection seats this may not have been a situation where someone could parachute out anyway. Im surprised theres no video out, but it sounds like there's a chance it was an uncontrolled crash.

They used to have parachutes on board. They were removed for weight savings during the idiotic USAF fuel efficiency initiative.
Also never had an air crew successfully jump out of a 135 in 65 plus years of its operation.
