Last week:

Colin Kaepernick Pushes Nike’s Market Value Up $6 Billion, to an All-Time High

Nike’s market value has risen by $6 billion since its controversial decision to feature former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick in its new ad campaign, CBS News reports. Shares are up over 36% for the year, nearly 5% just since the ad’s launch.

Did he tank the whole market?

I gotta be honest, I don't think he had shite to do with anything today.

his impact on the stock will be in december or january when they start seeing the impact on sales

i think it will hurt earnings for a long time but that may not mean much as far as the stock price up or down

what i mean by that is, lets say it shows to be the shite show disaster that we expect it to be, and assume its a $75 stock. profits and earnings expectations will be down, but the stock price may not change or even go up in spite of it.

that is because stock prices are just made up values based on lots of BS so it has a lot more then profitability or earnings that decide a stock price

just look at tesla, they started out bankrupt, they still are bankrupt, and they will never make any money because by the time they even get close to breaking even, another company will have done it better and cheaper they they ever can. yet tesla stock is valued at over $300 a share when it should be nothing more then a penny stock

Biggest loser in what category? Nike is not a DJIA stock. I would imagine it is in the S&P 500. I doubt seriously that NKE was the biggest loser of any index.

I get fired up about these boycotts and then I get to looking at the companies I am supposed to stop doing business with and I realize I don’t buy there crap anyway. I have not bought Nike stuff since the 90’s. Yeti? Not since Rtic came out. Remington? Nope not since an 870 30 years ago.

But...but... He sacrificed everything!

(Except that $25 million he banked away before he grew a conscience.)

First of all, anyone with any honesty will tell you that Nike was on the rise because they had a $12 billion stock buyback, and recently announced another $15 billion.

It looks like however, that a lot of people who didn't want to look 'racist' then, took this opportunity to dump Nike. Because they realized that Nike had pissed of half the consumer base
