That sounds reasonable for discussion purposes, but it would be very difficult to be enacted as a policy.

The courts punt on the issue of voter identification because “it’s not an issue.” If the threshold I proposed is reached, then it seems to me that the courts punting becomes ideological rather than truthiness-based. Which has been the case all along.

If illegitimate voters are affecting who holds office, it’s impossible for them to claim that it’s not an issue of any gravity. This will not stop them.

So my threshold is there only to trigger policy change. It’s not the policy change. It’s the justification for voter ID.

Kansas ILLEGAL Mayor

“He’s been a registered voter since 1990. He applied for citizenship in February of this year, and through that, raised the issue of whether he was a legal citizen,” Herd said.

Gee, I wonder what spurned "the mayor" to apply for citizenship?

know it won't happen, but it would be nice if people simply stopped engaging him at all. Let him comment, but NEVER respond.
I avoid reading his comments or any responses people make to him because it completely bogs down the discussion and mostly drives the thread off-topic. He seeks attention and has a driving need to be active on this board as his outlet for said attention. I.e. stop feeding the most accomplished troll on TD poli board.

Agree but you can say this until you're blue in the face. Those that cant stop responding to him, crave that same attention, just the other side of the coin.

What?

Courts make substantive decisions on voter identification laws pretty regularly.

Your issue is going to be proving "known illegitimate voters". You're going to need some insanely narrow races to meet your threshold.

Finding all of the "known illegitimate voters" is going to be the problem, especially within the temporal limits of the ability to challenge an election.

Can you cite any specific election that meets your criteria?

Had a decent pizza in Coldwater a few weeks ago. Comanche County is the location of our family farm, near Wilmore.

No you can't hunt on our land. Go ride the Wilmore Carousel instead, ok?
