Other than being female and black, I don't see what she has to offer. She has the personality of a rock. She isn't very likeable either. I don't see her getting anywhere.

James Buchanan may have technically beaten her to that.
He was sent off as an ambassador to somewhere (Russia?) for pissing off the wrong people and ended up with the nomination precisely because he wasn’t there here when a major controversy erupted.
Considering his relationship with “Aunt Fancy”, Senator Rufus King, that may have played into his exile.
And in a related note, the president had been asked why he sent Buchanan as ambassador to that country. The answer was “I couldn’t find anywhere further away to send him.”

I might be wrong but I don’t think she has a chance unless she works on her tone. It might not be fair but women don’t get away with being as abrasive as her in politics. Warren would have a better chance.
