Justin Trudeau makes me ashamed to call myself a man in the year 2020

quote:
Earlier this month, a French teacher was beheaded for showing a cartoon depiction of the prophet of Islam Muhammad during a debate on freedom of speech.
Since then, France has been cracking down on radicalized Islamist cells within the country. Nonetheless, yesterday, three individuals were killed during church service when an Islamist terrorist entered the church. The church official was stabbed to death while an elder woman was beheaded. Another victim managed to escape but died shortly after from her wounds.
quote:
During a press conference Friday, the Canadian prime minister was asked what he thought about the right to depict Muhammed in relation to the recent public violence in France.
The prime minister answered that he would “always defend freedom of expression.” He then added: “But freedom of expression is not without limits. You can’t, for example, shout ‘fire’ in a crowded movie theatre; there are always limits. In a pluralistic, diverse and respectful society like ours, we must be aware of the impact of our words and actions on others, especially those communities and populations that still experience a great deal of discrimination.”
quote:
“It is a matter of respect, not to seek to dehumanize or deliberately hurt. There is always an extremely important debate, a sensitive debate to have about possible exceptions on issues where one does not want to hurt, but often the intention is less important and the fact can still hurt, so in a society based on respect for others and listening and learning, let’s have these complex conversations responsibly.”
This man is a living vagina.

God, he is such a joke. He's like that corny Canadian kid show character Caillou, except he's their fricking PM.

Has Trump been talking about this ? If the democrats get their way this will happen in our country as well. It’s started to happen while Obama was President .

His mom was a lot more man than him. I have always felt that Trump banged her back in the Studio 54 days.

What he said was a bunch of fluff to avoid any action. It means absolutely nothing. That's the art of being a politician- being crafty with answers, and saying a lot of words that sound like something substantial but mean nothing.

Sure you can...if there's a fire.

Even if there wasn’t a fire, it’s cool to decapitate someone over it? these people are insane.

I loathe the guy but I do think there’s no choice but to compromise in France. They’ve opened up Pandora’s box and now there are too many Muslims living there to take a hard line. They need to have a meeting of the minds and ultimately compromise on depicting Muhammad as either a fine or open to litigation. The French should have thought about this before opening their borders.

Marxism taking free expression away.

Good news for you, Tide. Trudeau isn’t really a man. That dude is a girl through and through.

Trudeau talks a lot about “hurt” in his statement. You know what I’ll bet REALLY hurts? Getting your head cut off.

He’s also a typical crooked politician using his power to make his family rich. Sound familiar?

Negative ghostrider. And I preface this by saying I am a Christian who loathes works of art intended to mock or demean Christianity.
Being offended is never an acceptable justification for violence.
One of the most underappreciated aspects of a culture of free speech and expression is that people can air their grievances or attitudes without resorting to physical violence. It is an outlet that allows ideas and attitudes to be tested in the crucible of societal discourse.
Bad ideas and speech get mocked right back. Good ideas withstand the test of time. That's the beauty of it.
It is disturbing how little modern society understands the importance of free speech. Free speech may lead to violence because of the actions of misguided adherents, true. But the suppression of free speech will ultimately lead to more violence than a relative handful of misguided adherents will ever be capable of inflicting.
When you take away free speech, you are creating an environment where people feel their only recourse is through violence. It's a terrible thing.
So no, there shouldn't be a "compromise" on whether people should be allowed to depict Mohammed. Just like there shouldn't be a compromise on whether people should be allowed to depict Jesus as a crackhead.
If your religion dictates that people who mock your religion should be killed, then it's time to rethink the idea that your religion is a truly loving and peaceful one.

He's their Obama. Maybe even worse.
Speaking of vaginas, his mom's was the first that I'd ever seen. It seems like it was a paparazzi shot in Playboy in the late 70s or early 80s.

Wrong...you are free to express whatever it is you wish, you are not free from the consequences of what you expressed could render...

You are aware obscenity’s are illegal and do not get 1st Amendment protection in the US, right? The only question is what constitutes obscenity. We define that effectively as hard core porn but a different society may define that as depicting a prophet. Until we get rid of all laws limiting speech then we will always be dealing with questions of how we are going to deal with new cultures with different views on what is “obscene”.

It's France. The French already have their idea of what is obscene. Foreign degenerates don't have the right to tell the French what is obscene in their own country, especially through a knife.
Would the French, or any other group of European ancestry go to the middle east and start killing them because they did something perfectly acceptable in their own culture? No, so why should Europeans have to bow down to the muslim filth? If you go to someone else's country, the you abide by their culture. You don't force them to behave according to the country you felt was bad enough to leave. That is the action of an invader, not an immigrant.
Policies of appeasement never work out. Surrendering your country because you don't want to be obscene or offensive to one of the most backwards ideologies is pathetic and weak, as is those who make excuses for islamist violence.

What would his reaction have been had it been deranged Christians beheading Muslims because of some perceived slight of Jesus Christ? I doubt Mr. Prime Minister would afford some lunatic Evangelical the same courtesy he offers members of the Religion of Peace. The pandering to Islam is sickening at best, dangerous at worst.

Mfw this is the plan to start a bunch of mini "civil wars"within these european countries that used immigration as a way to prop up their social program pyramid schemes.

But that’s the problem, almost 10% of their population is Muslim now. It’s not about appeasement of some foreign entity, it’s about their laws reflecting their people.
You should be arguing against the mass migration they enabled and I’d agree with you but they’ve passed the rubicon now.
