I dont think you folks understand how broad a spectrum of disorders encompasses the term mental illness. Years ago I suffered from severe depression and relapse of panic disorder after an attempted home invasion where 4 thugs tried to kill me.in my garage...Luckily they were terrible shots and I got away but it fricked me up mentally for a while. I already owned firearm but wanted another. I had a shrink and was on meds to deal with the panic attacks and help me sleep... I also bought several more firearms. Should I not have been allowed too?

We've argued for months that kids are being "groomed" into this, now they want to claim its congenital psychopathy.

Many psychopaths arent particularly dangerous. Some can run fortune 500 companies, some are police, you may have even voted for one a time or two.So again, unless a doctor along with a court decision has deemed them a threat to themselves or others, or mentally incompetent then they should be able to own a firearm.

As Bonds just learned, “psychopath” is not a clinical entity. At this point, it’s just a colloquial term without diagnostic criteria.
