And OP, Dayton fricking Ohio. There might be 200 people in the whole damned town with it... why would you expect a line of people outside the hospital?! You don't think the hospital can handle 200 patients over a couple weeks with ease?
Dayton, Ohio is located in Montgomery County. Montgomery County has 84 diagnosed cases of Covid-19.

Dayton, Ohio has about 26% of the population of Montgomery County. Assuming a standard distribution of cases, there are about 22 cases of Covid-19 in Dayton.

Have to admit you guys are really minimizing Ohio or the number of people sick ....then why are we on lockdown. Why is the country shut down if there isn't a problem
To prevent a problem!

The concept is really not that fricking difficult.

Look, we can debate whether the economic cost of the lockdown is worth the lives saved. Personally, it pains me to say that I don't think it is. There will never be a way to calculate the number of lives saved, but even if it is a million, we will have spent millions of dollars per life. And many of them are older and would likely say, given the choice, do NOT spend a million dollars trying to save me. We just can't afford it.

But there is NO debating that the lockdown is actually saving lives. You would have to be a complete imbecile to argue otherwise.

There we go. I wonder why the waiting room isn't packed?! We should all go make fools of ourselves by accosting health care workers because the preventive measures are working!

I mean you could have just gone to the OH Department of Health’s website that is updated dayy that shows that there are (as of today) 4043 confirms cases, 119 deaths (2.9%), 1104 hospitalizations (27.3%), and 346 of those hospitalizations in ICU (8.6% of cases; 31.1% of hospitalizations.

There are 34,000 hospital beds in Ohio, with 2,500 (7.4% of total beds) ICU beds. So 3.3% of hospital beds are taken by COVID-19 while 13.8% of ICU beds are taken.

You could have also seen that despite making up nearly 4.6% of the state’s population, Montgomery only has 2.1% of the total cases, which is only 84 total cases.

All of the data would have showed you that the hospitals in Ohio aren’t overwhelmed right now, and Montgomery county is doing better than the rest of the state overall anyways. And you could have figured this all out anyways without leaving your bed instead of wasting your time driving around and acting like a jack-arse to a bunch of people.

While all the numbers you listed are true and demonstrate that there is no crisis in Ohio, a picture is worth 1000 words.

Based on the clickbait headlines and political jihadis the average dumb American thinks that bodies are going to start piling up on their streets tomorrow.

A Representative from your state just a few hours ago tweeted out she was going to have the Hague investigate President Trump for crimes against humanity or some dumb shite.

OPs video has already been seen 8k times. I bet the stats in your post have been seen by a few dozen people at most. They both convey the same message but one medium is more effective than the other.

The message I got from buckeye_vol's post is that there is not currently a problem in Ohio. The message I got from OP's video is that OP is a fricking psycho.

Most are missing the point. The point is this simple - there isn't a massive crises all across the country for COVID19. When almost 52% of all of the cases in the country is located in NYC, it's not a national crises. Sure some small hotspots here and there, but not a national crises.

You could've just said that instead of taking the time to make a video.

I don't think anyone ever claimed that every random health Center or hospital is overflowing.

P.s. I think the whole thing is an over reaction, but you didn't prove anything everyone didn't already know.

This video reminds me of the open carry people who film themselves walking down the street with loaded rifles and then act shocked and outraged when people call the police on them

Really? This reminds you of that?

Do they make smart phones with bullet apps now? Maybe I'm behind the times with my dumb phone, but last time I checked, cell phones weren't weapons, and there is no reason to feel uncomfortable around them.

You can disagree with his approach, perhaps, but the questions he's asking are valid and necessary. Questions that do not involve national security, yet are being ignored as if the information being requested were highly classified.

That should trouble you. But you went with the apples to oranges comparison, instead, and ignored the point of the video.

The person you just responded to is not the one who made the video.

Have you watched or read any of the "news"? That's all anyone is talking about. People are screaming about shortages of hospital beds and supplies. And what do you mean "random" health center? These were two major hospitals in one of the busiest areas of Ohio. Yet, no one's there.

Results of 15-Day Study on COVID-19 and Social Distancing Measures

quote:

A recent study from researchers at iiSM.ORG confirms that the spread of coronavirus in the US has been substantially slowed by Social Distancing (S.D.) measures order by the President on March 16th.

The data, based on reported COVID-19 cases from Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering, indicates that the infection rates have slowed by 15% over two weeks due to social distancing measures and that the trend is continuing downward as more people in the US are observing Social Distancing guide lines, even as testing rates continue to increase.

The 15-Day study’s findings are as follows:

Study finds that the daily infection rates dropped from 1.32 to 1.12 in the two-week period after enacting social distancing measures in the US

This represents a 15% slow down in the rate of progression of the virus

The study shows that without social distancing, there would have been ~1.2 million cases by April 3rd; however, due to social distancing measures, only 308,900 cases have been reported

Data indicates US has, conservatively, prevented ½ million cases of COVID-19 due to enacted social distancing measures

US has likely prevented over 5000 additional deaths thus far due to social distancing measures

Hmmmm...not seeing "how" they performed this study

quote:

This suggests that the entire public should wear masks when in public until such time as an effective vaccine has been made available and disseminated to the public at large.

So...masks for the next year or 2?

This entire thing is one big hoax and 11+million healthcare workers are all in on it.

...because that obviously makes all the sense in the world.

Or it's more likely that the relatively small town of Dayton ,OH has been unaffected.

He would have a point if the entire country consisted of Dayton.
