JUST IN: Judiciary Cmte. Republican senator tells @NBCNews that a counter-offer has been made to Dr. Ford:
- Hearing would be Wednesday
- Ford would testify first, then Kavanaugh
- They would be only 2 witnesses called
- Cmte. would pick lawyer for questioning

This is a new form of justice.
I want to accuse someone of a crime from 30 years ago, have no evidence or witnesses, refuse to follow it up, demand the accused prove a negative, demand a court hearing on my schedule, hand pick the attorneys for both sides, and go second without giving the accused a chance for rebuttal, and I do not want to be questioned or cross examined.
