The only places that deserve police officers are conservative and rural areas.
frick the big cities. Nobody in their right mind would sign up to be a cop in any large American city.

Yep no duty to arrest in Georgia. I wouldn’t take an enforcement action against nary a one of them.

Multiple people are saying one cop said that.
No opinion on it, just stating what the rumor-mill is spitting out.

Let's say that she DID get assaulted and that she DID call the authorities. The police cruiser arrives, and she runs toward them, thinking she is safe (but still brandishing the knife). The officer misinterprets and shoots her as she runs toward him. Plausible.
Looking forward to the bodycam files on this one.
If thats the case no charges. Kinda like friendly fire in the military. Sad situation and as you said, cam footage will mean all.

Over a thousand people are killed every year by knife attacks. A knife is a lethal weapon. Somebody pulls a knife on you, they have already decided they want the confrontation to end with you dead. At that point fire away. I don't know if this shooting was justified but saying cops should have to try and subdue a person with a knife is truly one of the dumbest things I have ever read.

No. It’s the one who was pointing a BB gun at people and a caller told police dispatch that it was probably a BB gun and then police rolled up and shot the kid in under 2 seconds. No gun was pulled. And the policeman that shot the kid had washed out of another jurisdiction’s training.
