I'm more of a fight than flight person. Does a random Joe really need to pull the trigger and buy a gun given the times we are in?

If you just want a value piece, get a Mossberg Maverick 88 pump.

Times like these are why we "cling to our guns".

It's crazy to think I need one. I'm not a hunter. I love shooting them at friends camps. But it's becoming reality I need to have something.

This is America

You get to buy a gun if you want one

I'm not into convincing people to buy guns, but I personally enjoy them

If you don’t have money for an AR, around $500) but just a stripped lower for now for about $40. This looks like not much, but is the actual gun of an AR. The rest can be purchased in parts and shipped to your house

Scuba gear and dive a few rivers. Lots of them from boating incidents for the taking.

Probably not any more necessary today than it was five or ten years ago.

However, I’d never do anything to discourage anyone from doing whatever it takes to make themselves feel safer. If you’re worried, do what you feel you need to do.
