A federal judge sent Paul Manafort to jail Friday after revoking the former Trump campaign chairman's bail.
Manafort appeared in court Friday after special counsel Robert Mueller asked a court to revoke Manafort's pretrial release conditions due to alleged witness tampering.
Mueller filed a superseding indictment against Manafort, who was already facing multiple charges related to financial crime, accusing him of obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice. Manafort has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

I suggestion you update the title to include "Chairman of Donald Trump's 2016 campaign"

Is this the excuse Mueller is giving to the media to not talk about the IG report?

Good. He deserves to be investigated for his money-laundering (which took place well before he joined the Trump campaign) and he deserves to have his bond revoked for witness tampering.

quote:

Mueller's team in an earlier court filing said that Manafort's "obstructive" conduct, which included reaching out in the past several months to the potential witnesses with encrypted message apps,

Maybe he should have used the defense that he didn't intend to do anything wrong?

But I thought Trump was going to pardon Manafort for the crimes he committed while he was working for Democrats 15 years ago. How did this happen?

It's not. The narrative will be that because he was temporarily associated with Trump, Trump is clearly tainted.

let me ask you this, if it was john podesta that was going to jail, would his previous job be listed in a thread title here? You know it would.

You do realize Manafort was actually an asset tit he campaign at time of his hiring, correct? He was hired to round up enough delegates at the convention and he did it with flying colors
