That sound you hear is Mueller's team throwing laptops and files into a shredder.

As well as their whole “case” against Flynn.

I hope Sullivan sanctions them as well.

i am legit curious how often this is made a point in post-plea, pre-sentencing investigations

and Bama, i've handled pleas and sentencing in federal court before and have never seen this. not saying it's impossible that it's standard in other districts, but it's not standard across the board

I agree it’s not usual if the person has already pleaded. But Flynn clearly has cold feet after his plea and is considering trying to ditch it. In that context, I don’t think such an order is unusual.

I doubt they find anything, but Flynn has an affinity for loony-toon conspiracies, so it’s not surprising he’d want his lawyers to investigate further (or that his lawyers would happily accept payment to do so).

The cool thing is if Mueller's team destroys evidence Michael Horowitz has the backup. Team Horowitz and his 450 employees moved in more than 2 months prior to Mueller.

Considering his past cases, there’s a reason why.

This is the judge who presided over the Senator Ted Stevens case and he got PISSED when he found out the US attorney hid exculpatory evidence and pretty much railroaded Stevens.

In other words, he’s gotten burned by the feds before and he is expecting it at this point.

Certainly he does this for every one of his cases in which the preceding Judge was removed from the case via forced recusal.

Dumb@ss

According to former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell, this is a "huge" development because "prosecutors almost never provide this kind of information to a defendant before he enters a plea — much less after he has done so."

re: Judge Asks Mueller For "Exculpatory Evidence"
that's wrong. Brady applies prior to a plea. there was certainly some discovery done, and part of the duty of a prosecutor is to deliver all Brady material. now, did Meuller know about this prior to the plea? possibly not, which is why there is some area for the theory to take hold

This looks right based on his Ted Stevens experience. He's got a "standing brady order" link on his webpage:

Judge Emmett Sullivan's Court Web Page
Standing Brady Order

This morning a Wall St. Journal reporter named Del Quinton Wilber tweeted out images of identical orders in other cases Sullivan's presided over. It seems like a boilerplate standing order.

Honest Bob and his merry band of Dem donor's better hope they didn't hold shite back from the first judge prior to this Judge's arrival.

What are the odds Honest Bob and Weismann did the correct thing?
