But, I think when most people think of felony murder (the quintessential definition) they think of the situation where someone goes into a convenience store to rob it and then just shoots the clerk for no reason at all. Or, robbing a cab driver and then just shooting him after he's turned over the money. Here, they killed him trying to get away.

Years ago, I decided to stop watching any TV show that has Juan Williams or any other Leftists like him.
I have never regretted that decision, nor am I any less well-informed, as a consequence of that decision. In fact, I'm probably a smarter person as a result of that decision.

I cancelled cable when I moved to this house, in mid-2018. Internet only. So, not only am I not paying for people to call me racist and lie to me, I'm also saving $150/month.

Very predictable. He will always take the left side ,which of course are the criminals, in any of these cases. He had no problem with Cuomo’s handling of the nursing homes last year.

The biggest shocker of all is that Racist Juan didn't excuse these two little virginal angels from all responsibility and blame it all on the Grand Theft Auto video game.

That is definitely what most people think of, including the criminals committing the offenses. Your point is valid.
The laws are pretty clear on it though. If four dudes attempt a home invasion and the homeowner neutralizes two of them, the surviving two are charged with murder. Without the felonious home invasion, the deaths would not have occurred, therefore the perpetrators bear the responsibility.
In this case, had the two thugs not attempted to steal the man's vehicle, he'd still be Ubering people around town as we speak. These little bitchlets are 100% liable for this man's murder.

They just wanted to be hip. Peer pressure, and all that, ya know. It's not their fault. Black people cannot possibly be held responsible for their own actions. Why? Because, as liberals tell us, they're not really capable of being responsible for their own actions, like following the law, registering to vote, getting a job, not murdering your girlfriend, etc. They're an inferior race, liberals tell us.
