They moved it because Iowa is too white. Simple as that. Also, the South Carolina primary basically made Biden the president via Jim Clyburn.

I absolutely hate the current primary system. Too many dates to vote, and by the time it gets to some states (like NC), many of the people on the ballot have already dropped out.
Should be two big primary dates about eight weeks apart. Have the country split as evenly as possible by electoral college votes. That way someone who may not have had a great showing on primary day 1 might still have a shot on primary day 2.

Joe is too old. Father Time will catch up with him. Who wants an 83 or 87 year old president. It will come back to bite this country in the arse if they get him re-elected. But they are feeling pretty good about him as he held the line in the senate and picked up governorships in 2022.

1) They will give up Iowa which is 6 votes for South Carolina.
2) They think South Carolina might be in play which would connect Georgia and North Carolina for them. If the GOP lost NC and SC then it is pretty much game over.
3) Also the obvious, this allows Biden to get the first win. They do not want a repeat of 2020 with a loss in Iowa and a loss in New Hampshire.
