Neck/collarbone are is a potential aim point for a 200 yard shot with a 50 yard zero. Depending on ammunition and environment, that shot has an elevation error of 2-4" high or low. If you have your windage right, you're hitting vitals either way.

Also his head may not have been visible due to the canopy.

Whitworth rifles had scopes.

Yes they did, but the main rifle used in the Zulu wars was the .45 Martini-Henry Rifle.

Don’t want to derail the thread with this.

This demon will no doubt be galvanized by his "win"... and no doubt seek the thrill of killing again.

I’m sure he didn’t act alone and multiple people knew he was going to do this.

Offhand I’d say because he found some way to gain roof access, which on a college campus tends to be limited.

Does it? I never saw a single building at LSU that would require more than a bolt cutter or simple desire to force the door open to gain access. If they were locked at all.

It’s not the shot. It’s the escape.

Walking out of a building and off a campus that’s being evacuated is not difficult and does not require professional skills or training.

The shooter also had to know where Kirk was going to set up, the best option to fire the shot from and then how to gain access to the roof. It may not have been a "professional" shooter, but this was definitely a professional job.

This could be accomplished in a very short amount of time. Literally watch where they set up the tent, then pick a building and find a staircase

Or read the online post about where he’ll be set up. Or, even crazier, these schools usually have a normal place for these to occur. This looked like a sort of amphitheater in the middle of campus built for this sort of thing.

It's easy when the Zulu are just coming in waves.

Yep. Just like the movies.

Watch where they set up. Check
Convenient rooftop directly across. Check
Access the stairwell. Check
Roof access unlocked/no alarm. Check
Get to roof with rifle undetected. Check
Fire one kill shot. Check

So easy! Anyone can do it.

The question posed which you can clearly hear in the audio and it’s been printed literally on every news site was "Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?”. So yes, it was about transgender. His reply was “too many”. Charlie was never wrong. RIP

They caught Luigi Mangione in 5 days with security camera footage. I would think they are rapidly going through everything around there right now.

There was a video going around earlier from Charlie's left and that looked to be exactly where he was hit. You could clearly see that it demolished his collarbone and exited his neck.
