re: Joe Biden to pardon his son Hunter

It was already a miracle that a few piss ant charges were brought against him in the first place.
They wanted the charges.
The plan was always to pardon him and Biden could have pardoned him without him ever being charged. BUT it would have looked highly suspicious for the outgoing president to issue a 10 year blanket pardon to his son who hadn’t even been charged with a crime. People might ask “Why would you assume he needs a pardon?”
So they needed him to be charged, serious enough charges that he would be facing actual jail time, so Biden would have sufficient cover to issue a pardon.

Forcing Hunter to abandon his Fifth Amendment protections would enable him to implicate EVERYONE else.
And be charged appropriately.
And be charged appropriately.

He is pardon from every potential law he broke going back 10 years until tomorrow

I can tell you this - my father would have never pardoned me.
This is why our government has run amok. No one is held accountable for their actions. Without accountability they will never learn how to act responsibly. This is just the most egregious and openly visible form of abuse of power we have seen recently.
But Joe is attempting to cover his own arse every bit as much as Hunter's with this pardon.

You're missing the point - Hunter himself is no prize. I'd gladly let him skate on everything if it means compelling him to testify, spilling the beans on the rest of them.
Besides, if he doesn't comply with subpoena, he can be popped by the 47 DOJ.

This. I'm just surprised he had the balls to do it this early instead of waiting until he was about to walk out of the office before Trump's inauguration. It's almost like he gave Trump an early Christmas present.

Why do this now rather than wait until January?

Gun grabbing Democrats can suck my fricking dick. They're okay with this because Orange Man Bad but they want more gun laws.

Yep.
Steve Bannon went to prison for contempt of Congress.

Doesn't surprise. But while scummy as hell, will probably wake up even more folks regarding Dem lawfare.

I'd bet that 90% of the father's here would pardon their own kid if it came right down to it. The other 10% were shitty parents and are now estranged.
I'm neither surprised or that torn up about it. Actually may have a tinge more respect for 'ol Joe is damaging whatever legacy he may've had by doing so.
Trump should pardon most if not all of the J6's.

yourself…. You, me, and everyone else would do the same for our kid
Pardoning your kid of crimes is not helping your kid, it's hurting your kid. You think Hunter is the way that he is because he always had to take accountability for his actions? No, he's a Biden and has always done whatever he wanted to do without consequences. It hasn't helped him in his life.

And let’s be real, does anyone actually think Hunter was calling the shots on this? All he did was let his dad and his partners use his name to facilitate bribes. My guess is that he probably didn’t have much choice in the matter. And not to mention he was a drug addict so I’m sure he was completely out of his mind.
I don’t think most here are surprised or are that butt hurt over Hunter getting pardoned. I assumed it would happen. But like most things these days my jimmies are rustled by the hypocrisy and dereliction of duty demonstrated by the media and FBI.

2. The case should go to the USSC and they rule the form asking for his prior use unconstitutional
What they did was sit on the case until the end of Jotato's term. If they didn't believe they were special, they could have requested the trial be sped up so it could be appealed up to the USSC. By always planning on a pardon, they don't have to change the law as it regards to all us peasants and Hunter walks free.

So, you think that 90% of the fathers here would raise their children in such a manner as to have no moral compass and no respect for the law and THEN you would call those parents who believed in moral accountability shitty parents? I bet your kids are just wonderful.
"Don't know why my boy is being held and tried. He didn't do nothin'. My boy's a good boy!"
That's the kind of parent you think is a good parent? Or is that (D)ifferent because this was a "victimless" crime?

Biden didn’t pardon shite. Has everyone forgotten that that piece of shite doesn’t even know which room he’s in right now. He is the definition of insanity. I hope this “pardon” and the others that will be forged in Biden’s name and applied to all the slimy cocksuckers that have hurt this country will be thrown out by the Supreme Court.
If these assholes get away with what has happened the last 4 years then no lessons are learned and we are just another stone’s throw away from the next GWOT laundering scheme.

I agree with everything you said, but there is no way you are gonna tell me you would not do the same for your own kid. If you do you are either 1) not a father, or 2) delusional
