I think in this case The House can make its own rules to be technically accurate.

I think he saying

You don't want me, okay, I'm out...

I have no issue with it- hardly deep state...

I'd be pissed if colleagues were voting for McCarthy who just stepped down

that's retarded

Still, this mess is way healthier than lockstep Marxism we see with Democrats putting forth an election denier who is also anti Trump pumper.

Say goodbye to control of the House. If Trump is elected next year he will be a lame duck President.

The majority of Americans are idiots who likely had no idea who the speaker of the house is on any given day. I don’t think this nonsense makes any difference in how 99% of people will vote next November

This failure of the GOP to elect a Speaker will be heavily used against the Republicans in 24.

But, but, but last I heard the GOP controlled the House. Since the GOP controls the House and the GOP is a mess, what does that say about those not in control?

Are those not in control simply venting due to no money being able to be spent?

Not any more than any other time. The problem is just that the majority is historically slim. This is when the fringe gets power. The slimmer the majority, the more power the more radical members have.

They removed a useful idiot, to replace him with, what exactly? Another useful idiot? They can't even figure out who the next useful idiot is.

You do until you get 217 people to agree on his replacement.

I'm not sad that McCarthy is gone.

I'm disgusted that there was no backup plan.

The far-right dog finally caught his tail, chewed it of, and now is crying that he has no tail.

Exactly! The message needed to be sent and honestly there is nothing wrong with some disruption when shite NEEDS to be disrupted. Many here and on the right bitch and moan about things not getting done then when someone like McCarthy who epitomizes this gets bounced suddenly that’s a problem?

Furthermore those of you saying this is going to cause the Republicans to lose power…that’s debatable. What isn’t debatable is they will ABSOLUTELY lose power by sitting on their arse doing nothing like the McCarthys of the world would have them doing…not a damned thing with his milquetoast arse leading the show. That’s why the Republicans lose power. Inspiring nothing and pissing off their base. I’d rather go down swinging than how they were heading under McCarthy, going down being a submissive bitch.

We'll never know what kind of leadership an assistant wrestling coach that turned a blind eye to sexual assault of his wrestlers, could have been. America's loss. Sad.

Moderates do not like dysfunction.

Moderates control the few elections that tip the balance of power.

Dems are always going to vote dem and the hard right is always going to vote for the hard right... well that is if there is a hard right option, otherwise, they will cry and stay home.

Moderates won't vote for the hard right... if the options are hard right or dem, they will vote for the dem.

Correct. Gaetz and company removed McCarthy because he lied to them (and you) about what he’d do in the job. So Gaetz called him on it. And Gaetz was right to do so.

If you’re looking to place blame now then lay it on the non-conservative, Democrat loving RINOs like Don Bacon. His faction are not Republicans, but establishment Uniparty sludge who do not act IAW the will of Republican voters.

At least this fiasco has shined a light on who the enemies of the people are.
