lol and this is the response of hypocrisy. You should care, it's a big deal. I am going to guess you cared about Hilary's issues. While it's not exactly the same, both put soldiers lives at stake

I understand where you're coming from, we don't want anymore damage!

It's just frustrating this happened while the Libs are protesting left and right and burning cars...

we just can't have anything thing nice for a little bit

it's got to be a mess 24/7

Listening to the Democrats universally call this out as a WAR plan leak......Does this mean they think we are at war and the eviction program the Boechert has shut down inhibits the war powers of the president?????

it was actually set up as a group chat, not a board or room, and it looks like it was, then anyone in the group could've added anyone else

Per Grok:

quote:

On the Signal app, whether anyone can send invites to a group chat depends on the group’s settings and whether it’s a “New Group” or a “Legacy Group” (older group type being phased out).

In New Groups (the current standard):

By default, only admins can add members directly to the group. However, the group settings can be adjusted to allow all members to invite others via a group link or QR code.

To enable this, an admin must go to the group settings, turn on the “Group Link” feature, and share the link or QR code. If “Approve New Members” is toggled on, admins must approve requests from people using the link to join. If it’s off, anyone with the link can join without approval.

The person who creates the group is automatically an admin, but they can assign other members as admins too. Non-admins can only send invites if the group link is enabled and shared with them.

In the article Goldberg claims he was invited by Waltz. So Waltz was the admin or Waltz' underling was accessing his account and sent the invite.

As for Chicken's question about notifications:

quote:

the Signal app, whether all members are notified when someone is added to a group depends on the type of group and how the person was added:

New Groups (the current standard):

If an admin adds someone directly to the group, all members will typically see a notification in the chat, something like “[Admin] added [New Member] to the group.” This is visible to everyone in the conversation unless their notifications are muted.

If someone joins via a group link (and “Approve New Members” is off), members will see a message like “[New Member] joined the group.” If “Approve New Members” is on, admins approve the join request first, and once approved, the same join message appears for all members.

There’s no separate push notification sent to each member’s device specifically for this—it’s just a message in the chat itself. Members will only notice it if they check the conversation or have chat notifications enabled.

Two things:

1. Goldberg isn't clear if he was invited first or the group was already in place. He says he got a request to connect with Waltz, then a few days later and invite to the group, then some time later a message from Waltz to the group.

2. That message from Waltz was for all the principals to name who they wanted from their agency also invited to the group and Waltz' assistant would then invite them. So there would have been a stream of notifications over several hours or days that MAR (Rubio) or SM (Stephen Miller) etc had joined the group. "JG has joined the group" would not automatically alarm anyone.

The failure here is 100% with Waltz and whoever had access to his account.

Everything else is noise at this point from people who literally tried to throw Trump in prison for the rest of his life and encouraged multiple assassination attempts on him.

Meh. Who cares? We have all mistakenly sent a text before. This pales in comparison to what the liberals have done to destroy this country.

Nobody should be fired for this. It was just an honest mistake. Time to move on lib fricktards.

This is the best run administration ever and if you disagree you are just a moron on every level and should stop posting because you would be better served spending your time playing with Playdoe
Holy shite. Somewhere between the top post from page 7 and the other from page 8, I totally lost the ability to tell who's trolling and who's genuinely retarded. If bullshite were snow, this place is Antarctica and I've officially gone snow blind.

As long as nothing real time top secret was released, seems to be some kind of regular discussion, then its a good lessoned learned. Now if this kind of discussion should be in Signal is something to look into. Seems to be regular work chat stuff.
How in the holy ever loving fricking shitballs do you reach the point of delusion that you hand wave the fact that not using unapproved commercial apps to discuss national security is apparently left for OTJ training in this clown show? The lesson you should learn here is that even people you like are capable of massive frick ups.

You shouldn’t be using LLMs to tell you this kind of stuff. Definitely not as a source. They will literally just make stuff up to keep the text flowing.

Regardless, like I said, it’s a big FU. Heads need to roll. You can call it noise if you want, but there were too many powerful people in that chat that didn’t 100% know who was receiving their messages. That’s a FU.

It would show that the admin is exactly what it has presented itself as being...MAGA as frick and saying they aren't going to put military lives at risk and bail out other countries without it benefitting the American people.

However, the admin will put lives at risk by posting mission details to a reporter.

Obviously, that wasn't intentional. But, certainly it was a huge mistake. Of course, I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

What's your point?

Why don't you look up what CentCom's classification guide says about Date/Time, timeline, and military assets communicated in a military operation are classified as.
