This would be an acceptable excuse if they weren't told when the anthem was being played. I seriously doubt that happened. These events are scripted.
The whole crybaby "I'm a victim" routine isn't working in their favor, either. The excuse would be more believable if they didn't have a history of acting like trash.

It was 100% avoidable, he didn't need to comment and make himself look like a fool. As this is something that hasn't bothered anyone since Kim was hired and doesn't bother anyone who follows football. It's ridiculous that he wants to threaten scholarships over this and shows how fricking out of touch he is.

LSU football players aren't on the field for the anthem ... band plays in LSU formation and then they march into the formation near the tunnel where the team runs out.
Would they lose their scholarships???
