Do you really think these are moral equivalents?

The covid vax had some (at least theoretical) value.

Morally speaking, taking a vaccine actually can help your fellow man at times.

Which vaccine are we talking? I assume it is for Covid.

Sure. Morally speaking, one can at least argue the Covid vaccine can help your fellow man. Absolutely nothing comes from standing for the anthem

Why would the leader of the club be concerned about corruption?

Would you all just stop it.

We have heard:

Well they only have an allotted time on the court before the game....so this includes the time to stand for the national anthem??????

Lots of teams dont do it. Well lots of teams dont do it for the same reason, we are scared to death we might offend a bunch of racists by making them stand for the national anthem and respect what others have sacrificed to give them that privilege.

Well its like covid???Huh, what about the nuclear war, or birth control, or or the riots in the capitol, WTF are you talking about, this has nothing to do with a vaccine.

They were wrong, they were called out for it, and they respond with whiny comments about all the shat they had to put up with during the past year for being racists.

Im with Landry, pull their schollys and NIL money and spend it on the football team....ya gonna need it

So every CFB team and the majority of other college sports teams are disrespectful?

Didn’t say that. Probably most are not disrespectful. Some probably are disrespectful but can hide the fact hiding in the locker room if their team isn’t out when the anthem is played.

A college athlete is taking a scholarship paid by tax dollars and/or donations, making potentially millions in NIL, more millions if they become professional, all benefits essentially conferred on them by a massively prosperous, capitalist USA.

Their abilities to improve their educational, professional, athletic, and economic situations exist because of the blessings of freedom also conferred on them as citizens of the Republic.

If they want to exercise their right to disrespect the anthem they should be willing to do it publicly, not in hiding.
