Edwards machine behind Robert casino

The casino is going on property that was once another Edward's property and is opposite property controlled Edward's campaign treasurer (another Edwards) and more ground controlled by another Edwards.

They basically control three corner pieces at the Robert exit.

They really don't care that the casino is going almost across the street from an elementary school.

The entire Edwards machine in Tangipahoa Parish seems to be working for it. Parish President Miller is behind it--he might as well change his name to Edwards.

I can’t wait to vote him out of office.

The fricking evangelicals that voted him in the first time can go frick themselves.

Will they have soft shell crabs on their buffet? If so, I'm cool with this.

There was another thread about this the other day, I am in that area a decent amount and have noticed how things have strangely started building up over there. Posted this in the other thread about the RV park that was randomly put in on the other side of the interstate:
quote:

Just looked it up and it's not a "trailer park", its the "Reunion Lake RV Resort" and after looking that up on the Secretary of State website its officers happen to be: BYARD EDWARDS III, BURKE EDWARDS, REID EDWARDS, and ASHLEY SANDAGE Not sure if they are all related to the governor but the last names sure do ring a Bel...

They have been working at this for awhile. I posted a little about it In the thread that quote is from. They're definitely trying to cover their tracks for any potential investigations.

Well, to be fair, they don't care about anything except getting their money.

And the Metairie-ification of the north shore will be accelerated to almost NOLA-East-ification levels now.

Hey, he's taking away one of those sinful River Boats from Shreveport, so the Evangelicals should be happy to have one fewer den of ill repute in their holy city.

The corner across from the RV park is Hickory Ridge LLC whose president is Andy Edwards who was the campaign treasurer for JBE. The actual site is Soterra LLC I believe and that LLC got the land fairly recently I understand from another Edwards family member once married to Andy's sister.

They should just make casinos legal and let anyone that wants one build them and the money for politicians will come out of these licenses.

I think Mississippi allows anyone who is "clean", shows that they have the proper financing/capital open up a casino.

There is no finite number; thus a casino license is not as valuable.

I don't see the issue. JBE sucks but a casino there would be good for Tangi. More jobs and more money coming into the parish. I don't care who profits off of it.

Wrong question.

What is the best location for that casino FOR THE STATE?

The issue is not so much the casino but the profits the politicians get from controlling the licenses and having the power to locate casinos where they want them---in this case on or around extended family property.
