Can you imagine the reaction of the Leftist snowflake numbskulls who've been tearing down statues all across America if conservatives showed up and tore this statue down?

Whitlock argued that the narrative surrounding Floyd’s death while in police custody last summer in Minneapolis is part of a “Marxist overhaul” of American culture.

He’s not Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, or Medgar Evers, black men who died tragically in service of promoting racial fairness,” Whitlock added. “Floyd isn’t Crispus Attucks, the first man killed in America’s Revolutionary War. Floyd isn’t Emmett Till, an innocent victim of anti-black bigotry.”
The veteran journalist then pointed to Floyd’s history of drug use and called for the statues of Floyd to be torn down.

This paragraph from the article linked in the OP may explain Whitlock's thinking on calling the statue racist:

Probably cause he knows blacks, who people already think are too stupid to get an ID will look up to a drug addict that can’t take care of his own children and can’t listen to simple police instructions

Because George Floyd had giant lips, GIANT! and all of these statues that are going up of George Floyd have gigantic lips.
This is a racist depiction of African-Americans.

I think he is saying the portrayal of Floyd as a hero is “racist” bc it implies that black folks should strive to be like George Floyd when in his opinion George Floyd is a terrible role model for black folks. If black folks did follow in the footsteps of George Floyd then they would end up in jail or worse. He seems to be implying that the George Floyd worship is a ploy to keep the black man down.
