When was pharmaceutical advertising legalized?
Don't know but when it was it represented a victory for free speech and less government interference in our lives.

Is it an infringement on Constitutional rights to freedom of speech to require truth in marketing laws?
Irrelevant to my post that you responded to. Requiring truth in advertising is not the same as banning advertising.

All pharm commercials should be banned.
Along with ads for lawyers and doctors.

Yeah! Screw the first amendment and screw freedom!

All ads for prescribed drugs should be banned. This is how big pharma controls the MSM

Who cares? If anyone is influenced by the commercial, shame on them.

Sure. It’s not the same. It is restricting freedom of speech. If I tell you what you have to say in a given commercial, I’m restricting your freedom of speech. It’s just drawing the line in a different spot than banning DTC advertising.

Is banning cigarette advertising a violation of freedom of speech?

How about banning advertising of adult products or entertainment?

You’re trying to be clever and you’re just being contrarian.

Ditto with the ones wanting your hard earned $$$ for feeding animals, the Shriner kids, the Jewish people. Why the hell don't they take the dollars for all these ads plus putting them on the tv and cover all those things.

Why are they $19. a month except for the Jewish food boxes. They are $40.+

It seems they pulled the commercials of women sitting on the toilet.

The one with the women saying she smells everywhere putting on inner thigh deodorant is so gross.

I notice a lot of natural remedy commercials on the podcasts and sometimes youtube TV.

Off subject but if you are tired of paying $300 month cable internet bills. Go to T-Mobile internet.

They mail you 2 white boxes you plug one into the other and plug them in the wall and for WAY cheaper 5G WiFi. $70 month price lock. Then get youtube TV streaming for all local channels.

Carry your spectrum boxes to their nearby store and cancel your acct.

The rest of the world has already figured this out. Our politicians have been bought.

If I had a doctor that listened to pharma commercials I would get another doctor.

They don't have to. They get the pharmaceutical rep and lunch for the staff.
