Amnesty plus enforcement is not only smart politics...it's reasonable.

what does the GOP get in return, since this is literally the entire DEM demand?

end to birthright citizenship?

stricter enforcement of all other undocumented people without ever lossening the regs on immigration?

ending the illegal practice of sanctuary cities?

there has to be a negotiation or it's not reasonable. what aspects of immigration are the DEMs willing to bend on?

Let's set immigration policy based on some artist's poem!

Except it's always the same: amnesty now, sometime in the future, enforcement. And then just no enforcement.

We've heard this song and dance before.

This is good policy. For everyone. Separating deportation from enforcement makes sense.

No political bills should be part of budget reconciliation. I said this during Obama and nearly everyone on the opposing side had a different view point than they do now. Dems fricked up on this.

This is an overblown problem...more political than impactful. But sure...

All Dems care about is ensuring a new underclass voting base in border states. That’s it. Nobody cares about families, neither side. This is about votes. Brass tax.

If they pass a DACA bill with no voting rights, ensuring legal standing with mandate to pay taxes and be part of the system, there would be a court case challenging the right to vote in about .034 months from passage.

This is a game for the Dems. They want brown votes. That’s it.

Amnesty for daca is blanket amnesty for all how are you going to prove who was brought here “through no fault of their own”. We will all find out it’s a shell game with the American taxpayer as the patsie as soon as the 9 th circuit court gets involved. I hope the president doesn’t fall for this load of bologna

Wrong....Obama did very well in 2008 with libertarians angry about war and surveillance.

How does it help those competing against them for jobs or education, especially when they want to fill a diversity quota? How is it good for those that immigrated here legally & paid lots of money? How is it good for the country when foreigners see that they will be given amnesty as long as they can get here & hide out long enough?

IMO, after the DACA kids are given amnesty, dems will call for all illegals to have amnesty. Then, 10-20 years from now, they will call for amnesty for the new batch of illegals.

No, it's wrong to be citizen of a country simply because you were born there when neither of your parents were citizens. In how many other nations are you given citizenship simply because your mom was within its borders when giving birth?

Is it? We have judges in sanctuary cities releasing criminals back onto the streets, because it would be too mean to deport them. I'm sure their new victims & their families will disagree with you.

Indeed we are when the value of illegal aliens is considered greater than actual citizens.

Enforcement.

Democrats will graciously agree to enforce laws after all their demands are met? How generous.

Diversity quotas? You need to stop reading conservative news. I have never met an intelligent educated white guy who couldnt find a job in my life. Its going to be ok.
