Saw this the other day on the way home from Pennsylvania.
First off, do they just not give a frick about their roads in Jackson, Monroe, Shreveport?
Secondly, how is that statement not racist? What if a company stated it was 100% white?

Extremely racist. But I'm glad they advertised that and let me know to stay away.

That’s what’s called strategery in Jackson, even sold it with the power fist. Makes me think of the guy from the Jury in the OJ Simpson murder trial making that same gesture after the “ Not guilty “ verdict was read.. lol, our “Justice “ system…

No different than this.

Want to guess which businesses I typically try to avoid now because of this?

Businesses are created to solve a problem or fill a need. I don't need, nor do I want to know your political affiliation, race, gender, etc. When a company does that, I look at my options, especially if it is shoved in my face.

I have identified my business as black and trans owned on Google.
Searchers can’t see it, and I can’t verify this, but since I did this about two years ago, I know it has positively effected my search results.

Were you ever going anywhere near a personal injury firm in Jackson, Mississippi in the first place?

Me too. I see “Black Owned” and I skip it. Now, if I know a business is black owned, and they don’t tout it I’ll patronize them.

Don't hire me because I'm a good lawyer. Hire me simply because I'm black and will rip you off worse than Don King.

This is a seriously real issue that I haven’t heard any republicans talking about. What’s the point in having a business if some algorithm can dictate your financial future?

What really irks me to no end is how every ethnic group, particularly black Americans can pimp for their businesses with the claim of being 100% black owned and operated. Same could be said of exclusively black universities, networks, award shows, organizations, etc.

If whites were to make these claims or if they established exclusively white colleges, networks, organizations, etc. it would be viewed as blatantly racist.

The modern consumer is online.
A biz can choose to be Netflix or Blockbuster.

Some whitey company needs to have a billboard that says that then.

Tribalism is OK unless you are white!
If blacks only shop at black owned stores it's supporting the "CULTURE", if a white person only shops at white owned stores its racist.
Being white and not giving everything you own and work hard for to a minority that isn't Asian is racist.

To be alive!!!!!!

You should also add woman owned, that way it checks off another box for a government worker purchasing manager who has quotas to fill on supporting minority owned businesses.

You could even charge double for the same items. Nowadays government contracts are not about the best bang for the buck, it is which businesses are you supporting.
