Considering the political sentiment expressed, not true. This was an active attempt by members of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to undermine the candidacy of a president.

It must also be repeated that Trump transition officials swept up in foreign wiretaps were illegally unmasked by these same people. Information was then illegally leaked to the press.

Yes, but that's not in the memo, so I excluded it. The unmasking thing is a whole 'nother animal. I expect it will be in future "memos."

The fact that a Yahoo article can be used as corroborating evidence to get a FISA warrant proves how much of a joke the FISA court actually is. It's nothing but a rubber stamp.

I do NOT like Trump. I do like some policies.

This, however, if proven hard fact, is fricking deplorable. Regardless of if you like or hate DT, our country has no room for this horseshite.

Susan Rice insists she wasn’t the one who unmasked the Trump team members.

Put her arse under oath.

The options are “she was lying and will tell the truth under oath”, “she lies under oath and gets busted for perjury”, and “she was telling the truth and her signature was forged on 100+ unmasking documents.”

None of those options are good for Team Obama.

It's sometimes good to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff on here.

Kudos.

Steele was giving the dossier to Yahoo! News and paying them to plant the story.

This really is frightening regarding the media. Do we know yet of any other networks involved with this?

This is going to separate law bidding Americans concened for everyone's future from self serving political hacks very easily.

Will enjoy seeing which side of the line people go.

Pretty much.

They knowingly used either completely false or unverified information as basis to spy on a US citizen.

That is and should be illegal.

Not only that but a political rival. That makes it even worse

Against a Presidential candidate and then President-elect? That's treasonous.

Comey later told Trump the same thing in that private meeting (not under oath).

I still think this is slightly off. Here's Comey's sworn testimony.

LINK

quote:

The IC leadership thought it important, for a variety of reasons, to alert the incoming President to the existence of this material, even though it was salacious and unverified.

I think he's clearly saying under oath that he believed the dossier to be salacious and unverified. Not that he necessarily told Trump it was salacious and unverified.

It's an important distinction b/c Comey is testifying that he used a "salacious and unverified" dossier as the basis for his personal signature on three FISA applications, according to the memo.

But have to hammer that blatant abuse of the process that is conveniently timed to his time on Trump's campaign (and Trump, through the dossier) can't be cast off just because Page has a history of sketchy associations.
I agree with this. If the FISA stuck to Page only I'd be fine with that.

This, however, I'm not fine with.

So if this is right and verified, he FBI set up the President of the United States.....in other counties, people like McCabe, Priestap, Ohr and Comey would disappear....here they get to teach courses on ethics for these actions

I have only 2 main points.

1. All of the info supplied leads up to only one thing. An American institution went rogue and was complicit with a filthy political party in using their powers to illegally spy on American citizens.

2. Now a bunch of filthy party hacks are using some of the info to justify their illegal actions.

I'll bet Every penny I have that those same filthy pigs would be squealing if the FBI was spying on their people EVEN IF IT WAS DONE LEGALLY.
