The federal government has a duty to enforce laws and protect the border.. the idiot libs have simply decided not to.

They protested and gaslighted and got unabated illegal migration the day Biden took office.

Now they are crying and wailing when they get illegals. Which you know…. The way to make a liberal cry and scream is to give them what they want to force on everyone.

Now.. even though the idiot liberals are now crying and wailing about actually getting illegals… they are proving that it’s party over country by falling in line with the mumbler in chief.

This has resulted in idiot liberals to actually say (and their absolute moronic, idiotic, mouth breaking voters believe) that putting up a barrier to prevent illegal crossings actually makes the border patrol’s job HARDER.

Now the idiot liberals wanna federalize the TX national guard… like they are being called to war… to open the border back up to allow for as much unskilled future welfare recipients and drug mules to cross as possible.

And it also continues the number of fentanyl deaths… enough to fill a jumbo jet every day… to increase. Imagine a 757 crashing once a day. This is how many people die because of this open border.

All due to absolute idiot liberals.

I've read studies that support the fact that once you discover you can orgasm from prostate stimulation, events happening around you are no longer important. This could explain your lack of knowledge concerning current affairs.

This is true. I was sitting in my 1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo the other day listening to the newest 8track from Air Supply, and thinking this exact same thing.

They kicked the feds out prior to the ruling? I guess I had that bass-ackwards.

My question is, why didn’t Texas take this action when the illegals first started pouring over? Why wait til millions have crossed?

It did.
Abbott started Operation Lone Star in March of 2021. Illegal crossings had greatly reduced during the Trump admin, especially in 2020. They ramped up considerably when Biden took office in 2021.

This link gives a good timeline of the activity.
Wiki Link

The Texas National Guard has been at the border for years now, Abbott has already declared both a disaster and an invasion. This situation has been escalating as the feds have been suing Texas over a variety of their border protection mechanisms (flying/bussing ilegal migrants to other states, buoys, now razor wire).

It’s getting media attention now because Biden issued an ultimatum with a deadline, but all the other stories that have been in the news have been part of this same Operation Lone Star ongoing for almost 3 years now. The Martha’s Vineyard migrants, the buoy barrier in the Rio Grande, the horseback Border Patrol agents rounding up migrants…

That mounted Border Patrol story is an interesting one because those were federal agents, who were following federal orders to assist Texas. But the story made the news and people freaked out at the optics - remember the wailing about “white federal agents chasing black people with whips?!”

A year later those agents were reprimanded and punished. LINK

How likely are those federal agents to follow orders to act against the Texas Guard now, knowing that when they acted on orders in 2021, and the situation got negative media attention, they were punished for it?

The Biden admin and DHS have really created a perfect storm here of alienating the very people they expect to enforce their policies.

Mostly because of two reasons. Resource constraints and trying to work through channels. If Texas jumped onto this right away it would have appeared to be usurping federal authority. Now, no one can argue the feds haven’t had the opportunity.

If this remains a tense, but peaceful, standoff with a resolution through USSC, as you say, then Biden and the Dems lose. Bigly. It exposes them as not doing their job in an election year in a way that people who haven’t been paying attention can’t ignore.

This really is a lose-lose for Biden. And I’m sure he’ll find a way to screw that up and turn the L into an unmitigated disaster.

As a fan of what Abbott is doing, I find this to be a fair question. But the crossings have grown exponentially over the last few years. And it is now at a boiling point.

It's an election year, and my $.02 is that Abbott's delay may be a part of "playing the game" which is at the detriment to Americans.

My only comment in this scenario is it's better late than never. The Biden admin and the border czar Harris has approached this with closed eyes and ears.

I'm curious to see what level this gets escalated to. Seems like a short fuse scenario. Won't take much to ignite it.

They’ve already been exposed for that.
Every Democrat I know is ignoring it.

I haven't the past couple of days and there appears to be a lot less being made out of these events on the major media websites than there is on this board. Not sure if that intentional or unintentional or we are reading too much into what is going on on the border.
