This Texas thing, as you call it, is how civil wars start. This is very bad. Militias are starting to head to Texas now to support the guard. Militias are the most dangerous of all because you don’t know who these people are. Some keyboard loser with an AR-15 and body armor could just start shooting and start something terrible.

This president is an idiot.

the border patrol's job is to enforce the border and immigration laws, not wave them in and hand them gift cards and phones.

Proof?

Haven't seen anything outside of a handful of Govs actually commiting to send their NG down to support Texas (OK and ND).

Correct. They left removal up to Biden.

I don’t know that militias are actually heading there, but this is exactly what Biden wants. It would provide him coverage to crack down on MAGA.

The Left’s plan is to flood the country with illegals, pass mass amnesty so they can vote, & crash the social welfare & medical system. This speeds up the demise of our country into a small group of elites & then there is the rest of us. Thanks Biden voters.

We know a lot more about who they are as opposed to the millions of illegals who are being let in.

They say they want it but when Texans start killing their sons they will want it to stop.

This isn’t a war over states rights. This would be a war over the federal government not upholding the constitution.

Our military is made of men and women of this country. We all have different backgrounds and origins.

We know who we are. We know nothing of those millions they have let in to this country.

I saw a short report while watching a cooking show with the misses. The dinner was honoring military personnel. One of those being honored volunteered with a moment of gladness that he was naturalized while serving.

Only immigrants who have been lawful permanent residents for 3-5 years or meet certain military service requirements are eligible.

So if they allow these folks in and give them lawful status they can all become citizens. Thought that was interesting as in you do not need to be a citizen to join the military.

It could also be FBI agents in militia gear told to start shooting so it looks like the feds had to kill a bunch of Texans in self defense.

What the hell is going on? Texas put up razor wire to protect the border. The majority conservative SCOTUS ruled it had to be removed because Biden’s argument that it prevented border agents from doing their job was apparently a valid one. Last I saw, Texas still hasn’t removed it. What’s happening now?

Here's a very general synopsis:

Under Mayorkas the Border Patrol has had their hands tied to the point of basically just being a rubber stamp for allowing illegals in. In order to combat this, Arizona put up a container wall to which the DoJ threatened to sue over. Then-Governor Ducey was on his way out of office so he bent over to the DoJ and allowed dismantling to start.

Trying their own hand at doing what Mayorkas refused to do, Texas put up razor wire bouys along the Rio Grande. Feds began taking this down so Texas and the DoJ went to court. A judge said the feds could do it, an appeals court told Texas to remove the wire.

Texas said "frick you" and pushed the issue to SCOTUS who basically said the feds can cut the wire (5-4 decision with Roberts and ACB siding with the feds).

Texas responded by taking over Shelby Park (47-ish acre city park on the Rio Grande at Eagle Pass, TX), which has been a focal point for many illegal crossings. They blocked the feds from coming in. The feds have demanded they cease (implying that they will take it by force). The response from Texas?

Texas has essentially told Biden, Mayorkis and the DoJ to FAFO. Governors from 25 other states have pledged openly to support Texas, should the need arise.

Texas Governor Abbott stated yesterday that Texas will not only keep the feds from cutting the wire at Shelby Park, but they will be extending that razor wire wall. SD Governor Noem has said she'll supply Texas with razor wire.

And that's where we are now.

300,000 people per month enter illegally at the invitation of the federal government via Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California

Texas will win this legal battle over states rights versus federal

300,000 people per month will then enter illegally at the invitation of the federal government via New Mexico, Arizona, and California

I don't think voter apathy is the issue.

The President would have to federalize troops from the states in order to truly make a stand against the TNG. Just over half of the states have pledged to support Texas. Having federal troops start mowing down Texans would very likely kick off a new civil war (if those pledged states stayed true to their pledges).

This issue with illegals is so incredibly unpopular across the nation that if such a war kicked off, those voters still siding with Biden over this may well be killed over their support as society broke down along ideological borders. Some place like Seattle might be fine, but some place like Chicago or NYC (where so many illegals have been forced in that it's creating government and societal strife) would likely become even more violent.
