The other thing is that the biggest perk of flying first class is that you know you won't be sitting by some schlub who takes up half of your seat; if you're flying with your entire family and you take up the three seats you'd already know that you had OK situation so why spring for the first class in that situation.
even if I was as wealthy as ivanka I wouldn't pay for first class if I knew that I was taking up the entire row and was sitting next to family regardless
Final thought is that first class is probably only two seats side-by-side and if they're flying with their kid or kids they wouldn't I'll be able to sit together in first class
