Boomers don't support America, they support their 401K or deadbeat children.

From what sources did you hear the narrative that women hate Trump? Or more precisely, that more women hate Trump than did, say, in November of 2016? That’s where I believe the process of straightening out the situation begins. Can you honestly say that you learned of this “women hating Trump” from a rock solid source(s) that you would confidently put your name to, thus your reputation? Would you trust the source(s) to that extent? I’m just guessing here of course, but I bet you wouldn’t be willing to go that far with it, i.e. skepticism about the source of the narrative.
I believe that narrative was cultivated by the left for the purpose of having a scapegoat if and when needed. Think about this aspect as well - Trump having trouble with certain women wasn’t a new idea in 2020. Recall the literal sky screaming the day after he won in 2016. The pussy hats. The protests in cities around the country. I’m proposing that the “women who hate Trump” are more or less those same Trump hating women from the day after 2016 victory pussy hat protests. That would have been the moment that most any woman who was predisposed to hate Trump would’ve revolted. It’s not like there was some new revelation about Trump during his tenure that suddenly woke a whole bunch of women up.
It’s a bullshite narrative.

DeSantis guy here and I 100% agree. I voted for Trump twice and I’ll vote for him a third time if he’s the nominee but DeSantis gets my primary vote. Whoever is the nominee is my guy no matter what.

Unfortunately that's not the case unless people here are lying about how they'll vote. No way to know how big the percentage is, but in a close race it could be enough to matter.

It’s really simple. Desantis has not been attacked and withstood the onslaught from the elite society running DC. However, Trump took many punches and hopefully learned from any past mistakes making him the obvious choice.
Desantis’ time will come. He’s too green right now and we need him to play his cards later down the road.

You do realize most Boomers are Dems, right?

Flats I believe you’re over generalizing and over extrapolating on that. If I had to give a full assessment dependent on a few most relevant factors, the conclusion would be that there are more or less equal parts of supporters of both who would possibly buck the system and no-vote.

I'm over extrapolating by saying "no way to know how big the percentage is"?

support whoever you want, but come back for the general after Don whips Ron's arse.

Yeah. No. I don’t know. Did I read you incorrectly there? I was taking it as a remark on the condition of the board inasmuch as Trump voters declining to vote for Desantis should he become the nominee.
Exactly how far off am I? Don’t hold back, lay it on me. I’m willing to acknowledge wrongness.

Doubt that the OP graduated from A&M but if so, jeez.

That’s exactly what it was; I’m not a mind reader. If people say they’re going to stay home or write in Trump if he loses the primary I take it at face value. Since I specifically said that I didn’t know how many Trump voters felt this way no extrapolation occurred at all, let alone over extrapolation.
ETA. Didn’t you make this exact argument this morning or yesterday? If I say it it’s suddenly wrong?

I don’t care who it is, everybody better be ready to get on board once that’s figured out.

I made the argument that it COULD result in some of that. Not that I personally would or wouldn’t, not that I predict any particular proportion would or wouldn’t. Only that, and by way of clarification, a certain set of unfortunate circumstances and a resulting very contentious primary COULD net that effect. And the further reality of the matter is that the door can swing both ways just the same. I don’t think anyone has missed the vitriol going in BOTH directions here on our beloved board.

What exactly are you taking issue with? You’re going to damage your knee jerking it like that.
Posted on 3/11/23 at 10:47 pm to Flats
Oh, did you take from the three all caps words a “knee jerk” situation? That might be a little bit of over reading the matter. I’ll edit to take the “knee jerk” perception out of it.

Doesn't matter. Not voting for (D), no matter who the (R) is, yet there are ten threads a day on the same shite. If (D) ran Tulsi Gabbard, we might have a conversation, but no chance we're going to entertain the convo otherwise.
But start another thread tomorrow.
