Good luck finding a suitable firearm for home defense. A little too late.

BCM had a bunch of AR's in stock and ready to purchase online Friday. Today, nothing.

I'm thinking about a CMR-30 for mine.

It 's light, handy, hardly any recoil, 30 round mags.

It is only .22 magnum but being able to spray 30 of them quickly makes it pretty vicious.

I started this same thread a week or so ago. I got the wife a S&W 38 special. No regrets.

Buy a used 12 gauge (magnum if available) pump shotgun. Cut the barrel to 18 1/4 inches, throw the plug away (you'll have 5 shots then) then buy yourself five 00 buckshot shells and load her up. Be sure to put a round in the chamber, THEN put the safety on and store it where you (not your child) can reach it quickly.
HINT: If you take your wife out to let her shoot it, buy her a couple of rounds of low-brass #9 shot and let her shoot that. Make sure she pushes the stock tightly into her shoulder before he fires it.

Glock 48 with 6 Shield Arms magazines. I would have said Glock 19, but the G48 has a much smaller grip and the same capacity as the G19 with the Shield Arms 15-rounders, so your wife can grip it better.

This for a handgun. I have both. But if you want one be prepared to pay a premium through a gun broker. Very scarce right now.

My anti-gun nut wife said we need to buy a firearm for protection. I was floored. That said, any baws want to give me some direction of what I should get? Any help is appreciated.

Have you ever thought about getting a bow and arrows?

Damn. That's a hell of a blade. I'm gonna buy one.

AR-15 better than a shotgun especially for a woman not familiar with firearms. Better than a handgun especially for a woman not familiar with a firearm. AR with a 30 round magazine easy to shoot and easy to point and very light in the recoil department.

If you've got a small wife that isn't an experienced shooter, I think this is an excellent choice. .22 Mag is nothing to sneeze at.

Start with a cheap 12 guage pump with modified choke and pull the plug out of it. Load it eil #4 buck shot and ceel safe even if your aim is off. This will get you started
