It’s a bad look to defend Twitter for having private rights, but go after nuns and bakers

Consistency is vital.

Defending a huge corporation but supporting using the DOJ to go after nuns for not providing BC or bakers for refusing to bake cakes glorifying homosexuality

Either private companies and entities have rights or they don’t.

Yep. Don’t understand how the same people defending bakers who discriminate can be mad at twitter.

Couldn’t agree more. Both sides fail miserably at this.

Private companies can’t discriminate. Private companies can refuse businesses if you are inappropriate ( naked, no mask) but not if you are a different race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.) The thought of thought police, is discrimination, and I’m sure suits are being planned

It’s okay. It does take some intelligence to grasp the nuances so understandable you don’t.

Yeah I mean there’s one bakery in the world and if they decide to not bake your cake you are completely screwed.

You are a fricking moron.

Private companies cannot outright bar you from coming into the store, but private companies are NOT obligated to be forced to make certain products.

For example, a Black person who owns a dry cleaning company cannot say “no whites allowed”, but he also is not obligated to dry clean a kkk robe

That...and the fact that Twitter can only exist as a platform because of the special protection it receives from our taxpayer funded government.

No it’s not . Nuns and bakers are not considered to be part of the utilities . When the railroad barons refused service to competitors in hauling goods the courts intervention was necessary . Same basic principle . They utilize the public’s bandwidth therefore their sole being is because we allow them to be

Is Twitter discriminating on the basis of a constitutionally protected class?

Note: this is a legitimate post and question. Neither a troll or a melt.

The baker was not allowed to refuse service that went against his religious beliefs.

Twitter is allowed to refuse service arbitrarily without any consequences.
