Italy COVID-19 seems to have peaked, and if so it will be good news for Wall St. Italy has seen declines in new cases and deaths 2 days in a row.
quote:

March 23 (GMT)
4789 new cases and 601 new deaths
in Italy (Italian Officials had incorrectly reported 602 new deaths - instead of 601 - in the live press briefing. We have corrected the number once the written report was made public). Statistics and trends by province [source] [source]

March 22 (GMT)
5560 new cases and 651 new deaths
in Italy: 15% decline in new cases and 18% decline in new deaths with respect to yesterday [source] [source]

Among the deaths: a 34-year-old man in Rome with no existing health conditions (according to reports) who died after being hospitalized for 4 days in sub-intensive care. He had developed a fever after returning from Barcelona, Spain [source]
"We expect to see the first effects of the stringent lockdown measures adopted on March 11 after 2-3 weeks, so the coming week will be absolutely crucial in this sense: we expect to finally see a sign of trend reversal," said Franco Locatelli, President of the Health Council [source]

March 21 (GMT)
alert 6557 new cases and 793 new deaths in Italy [source] [source] [source]

Bullshite. It was the same as most here in the US. They finally shut down factories this weekend. They were actually out roaming around, etc. just like here.

No it was on 3/9 so 14 days ago. With the way Covid works you won't really see impacts for two weeks. Looks like they peaked right at 12-13 days. This is pretty good news for the 15 day plan.

Italy's "extreme" lockdown was largely ignored by their populace for almost a week which is one reason they got their arse kicked

This shite doesn't play well for their narrative of "we are all going to die"...

I really hope some of the fricks that have been responsible for sowing panic are prosecuted when this shite is over with...

10% out of 64000 cases. That's better than the Plague
