The fundamental basis of the Catholic faith is that life begins at conception. Therefore Catholics believe that all life is sacred from that point. How can any reasonable person believe that people like Biden and Pelosi are devout Catholics?

This is true. No one actually believes they are even lukewarm Catholics. I suspect they are commiting a mortal sin everytime they accept Communion, if they do, given the position they are in to end abortion.

You can be opposed to abortion but not feel that laws should determine it.

The nation is made up of more than Catholics

Older lifelong Catholics? I would agree.

Younger, more "hip" Catholics?

Hmm, doesn't this decision remove a "law" that determines it?

You cannot be a Christian of any kind and be a democrat. Plain and simple.

I could have sworn that the fundamental basis of Christianity (and presumably Catholicism) had something to do with Yeshua bar Yusef and his resurrection.

For at least 1500 years, the key point was “ensoulment” at the point of “quickening” (about 18 weeks usually).

Or maybe Aquinas got that all wrong.

The family and the family unit is part of God’s plan for man. To believe it’s ok to abort a child simply for the sake of convenience or laziness is against everything holy.

Of course you can’t, but you also can’t be a devout Catholic and support no fault divorce or miss mass on Christmas either.

I'm not a devout Catholic.

And the current Pope makes it sure I am never am.
