Logic is that it should not be easy to make changes to a constitution through amendments. That’s the whole point of a constitution. It provides a higher threshold to avoid mob rule. Hell our national constitution cannot be amended by a popular vote or just a majority vote of the congress/states for this very reason.

But instead, these morons on both sides have just basically allowed mob rule on a 50%+1 system.

Even worse is that it is over a right to kill unborn children.

Sounds like you are afraid of the will of the people. Nothing screams democracy more than that.

You do realize all they did was vote to keep the law the way it’s has been. Republicans don’t want to hear it but abortion will play a major rule in 2024.

And you can bet the abortion measure will be on the ballot the same time as the presidential election.

It's going to be on in November

...in multiple states (you can guess which ones)

Only MAGA / America First patriots are up to date on this. Your average GOPe voter is clueless as to what's going on.

Looks like people in the states are sorting things out without interference from FEdgov as the Constitution intended.

If you're not afraid of the "will of the people," you're a moron.

There is so much more to say about Issue 1 here in Ohio but you summarized it well enough.

Will abortion at most any time then be codified in the constitution? Is it over for anti-abortion folks?

Literally the overwhelming majority of the state populations in Illinois and NY live in densely populated cities like what I just mentioned above. What’s so fricking hard to understand about that? Did you miss my point?

Why is it so hard for you to say what you mean?

Blue states like Illinois and New York have 95% of their total state population living in Chicago and NYC

That is not what you said in the second post. Lack of precision in communication generally leaves people with the idea that you don't have the wherewithal to communicate effectively.

It’d be nice when it comes to abortion that the GOP Evangelists let god decide the outcome.

This is a losing Culture war in 2023, learn how to read a room.

Well shite, let’s stop letting people vote and have the government make all the choices.
