You need to learn to understand that as Israel is symbiotic with the United States.

Symbiotic, ok...

but their existence is entwined with our democracy

yes, there is that..

because of the United States graciousness it will continue to flourish.

And there is this.

What I don't see is evidence of a symbiotic relationship from what you've stated... it is, from your very description, parasitic. You state their existence is dependent on US, on their uniqueness, on our American Graciousness..

..what do we **really** get in return? Is it balanced? Is it WORTH it? Is it based on blackmail given the assumed proclivities of our politicians in power?

Investment? Is there a chance the USA has been engaging in a Sunk Cost Fallacy?

What Izzruhl says: Israel says U.S. can’t move forward with any Saudi deal that doesn’t include them

What Izzruhl means: Israel says U.S. can’t move forward with any Saudi deal that doesn’t include them or they’ll release terabytes of video of American politicians grinding on kids on Little St James Island.

You know I’m right.

The only way Iran doesn’t end up with a nuke is regime change, period.

You stated my general strategic thoughts very well. Realistically the damage here was done by Obama and Kerry with their disastrous if not actually treasonous actions with regard to Iran and short of full scale war probably cannot be stopped at this point.

But my point is still whether someone thinks we should invade Iran, support the ayatollah or ignore it all together, how can any American justify and be ok with what Netanyahu just said?

He openly stated that Israel controls enough votes in the US Senate to block Trump unless he supports their foreign policy with regard to Iran.

Does anyone fathom the significance of that statement or the implied threat to US sovereignty?

A tiny country in the Middle East just said they control our Senate and are openly interfering with our government.

Frankly I’d been pro-Israel with regard to most issues including Gaza even if I strongly disagreed with their actions against the civilians there, but to say what Bibi just said to the media makes them not just no longer an allied nation, but an actual threat to the United States moving forward.
