Your brain is off.
Are the hostages coordinating a war? Are they looking for supplies? Are they talking to Iran? Are they looking after their families?
I'm sorry but this is one of the more ignorant post I've read this week.

They likely have better intel on hostile targets than hostages who haven’t been seen. We also don’t know if there are hostages still alive.

This. It’s the pretty obvious reason. I don’t know why OP is so perplexed.

Not only stood down, but purposefully killed some of their own.

how is it possible that a country (i.e. Israel) has intel on the whereabouts of leaders and is able to kill them with precision missiles/strikes in other countries, but can't locate israeli hostages that border an area that they've surveilled for the past 15+ years?

The leaders they have killed have been under surveillance for many years, and communicate via electronics, etc.

The hostages are likely holed up somewhere or already dead. It isn't apple to apples.

You're also overlooking that they have in fact tracked down and rescued or recovered a number of the hostages over the past year.

It's almost as if this was all part of the plan so they could finally pave Gaza over.

Is that a bad thing?

any actual response to the question?

You think the head of a terror organization, who uses communications and messengers, may be a bit easier to find than hostages who are hidden with zero communication or visibility to the outside? Especially when known associates are coming and going?

I think he may be.

if Israel can kill hamas/hezbollah leaders with intel and kill them with precision missiles/bombs, how are they not able to locate hostages in an area that they have complete surveillance over?

Could they be hiding them underground and not moving them around?

Your whole primus is stupid and doesn't really even deserve a thoughtful answer. But nice try, pushing an anti-Israeli position.

in most situations, I'd agree. but we've given Israel (and ukraine for that matter) billions in financial and military aid over the years, and LARGE cash infusion over the past year, yet hurricane victims got next to nothing, and our economy is not doing too hot, in case you haven't noticed

so that gives the American taxpayer (i.e. me), the right to ask questions

It’s not like these hostages are on the OT, social media, and their cell phones leaving a trail.

Not to take up for our gment but Gaza is not Appalachia. They'd never found him if he had enough food

This isn't hard. The hostages have had their phones and electronic devices taken away.
This is how the terrorists are being tracked.
The same way you are being tracked every day, as long as you keep your device with you.
How does a person not realize this?

The type of person that is offended/outraged by OPs suggestion is the same type that can’t wrap their head around Netanyahu helping hamas stay in power all those years.

Let’s see now…

Tracking the terrorists leadership over the course of decades

Vs

Tracking hostages taken 1 year ago

Yep, just can’t figure it out. Idiot!

Israel is not grabbing land. They simply aren’t giving their land to anyone. Namely Palestinians who never owned it to begin with. Just like Egypt denied Palestinian pleas for lands in Egypt.

Again, why do they kill Israelis and not Egyptians??

Israel is just defending itself

You have the right to question your political overlords about giving them the money.
After it's already sent, you have no right to question how they use it
