Lebanon was very Christian before the Muslims took over. They went from a thriving international city to whatever it is now.
Beirut was called “the Paris of the Near East” before WWII. They were still majority Christian then. The Shias flooded in after the war and bred like Rabbits, and now its just another shitty Middle Eastern hole with a population of warring tribes that hate each other.

Someone posted a video of an idf soldier with a chainsaw cutting down someone's olive trees. I don't see a military reason for this. Looked like pure meanness to me. Probably the man's source of income.

You do understand terrorists had likely taken it over as a base don’t you

War is hell. Hamas para glided into Israel and did all kinds of nasty shite. Olive trees are fair game and will grow back for the next generation.

400k children displaced
Can you blame the despotic terrorists that killed 230 of our Marines at all, or is it just Israel? Maybe just maybe if Hezbollah would stop shooting rockets into Northern Israel this would stop

When they get that bastard in the Vatican, I'll pop a cork.

My high school classmate had just left those barracks a week prior to attend Embassy training school and he was fricked up by that event.
The light bird who was over that debacle was my CO in Okinawa MMU-1 and I found a Stars and Stripes that had come out the month before it happened praising him on rediness in the face of fire.
He was a sadist bent on making Bird but I don’t think and hope he never did.
Lt Colonel McMonagle..
Took a second to remember that turd.

My High School classmate
So sorry for your loss and I mean it. I have good news for you and hopefully your classmates family, Israel vaporized the ringleader of that operation couple weeks ago. I can hardly shake that event, it seemed that the US just forgot about it.
Again sorry for your loss

Sorry I miss read your story, your classmate didn’t die. I know it had to be traumatic for him though. Lots of things went wrong. The most glaring is that our soldiers did not have live rounds to stop driver. Believe it or not but Ronald Reagan did nothing to avenge this. Casper Weinberger voted against retaliatory strike on Hezbollah while most in cabinet wanted it. Hezbollah was the root cause along with Iran

I'm still trying to find verification that the church in the article was actually bombed by Israel. I haven't seen any official confirmation and what I am seeing the name of the church and town keeps changing.

That's my thing -- at some point, this isn't defensive anymore.
At some point one has to kill one’s enemies. The Lebanese have allowed Hezbollah to effectively control their nation for decades. Probably shouldn’t have done that.

Hezbollah was a reaction to the Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon, they’re also why Israel left, and why the Israelis haven’t returned.
Israel would ultimately like to annex that land.

Or, we understand that Muslim terrorists were hiding, or hiding weapons, in or near the church.
It's weird how many "Christians" are ok with their Christian brothers being indiscriminately killed by jews as long as a few muslims are killed too.

Pope Francis called for peace in the Middle East on X, stating that “all nations have the right to exist in peace and security: Their territories must not be attacked, their sovereignty must be respected and guaranteed through dialogue and peace.”
Yeah that’s going to stop Jews and Muslims.

That is all true, yet doesn’t change the current situation one bit.

The issue from a Christian perspective is that the Israelis target the civilian population in reprisal attacks. It’s immoral by our standard.
