I think the problem here is one of two things.
1) They are worried about bombing the hostages.
or
2) They are waiting for the Eisenhower to arrive to provide backup support.
If it is (2) then I understand and there really isn’t anything that can be done to expedite that.
If it is (1) then they are making a big mistake.
If those hostages are still alive (big IF).. then they are no doubt being tortured and living their last days in absolute hell on earth. They need to pretend that they are dead and go scorched earth on the whole place.
That may sound cold, but I have thought about this long and hard, and if my kid was one of the hostages, I would feel the same way. The thought of them being raped, tortured or anything like that for even one minute would haunt me.
Flatten the place and put the hostages (IF alive) out of pain and misery. If they aren’t dead yet, they will be soon.
It breaks my heart for all involved, but I just don’t see any other outcome here.

Waiting for more firepower (U.S. carrier groups) to help defend the rest of the country from attacks out of Lebanon and Syria when the IDF marshals the bulk of its force in the south and in Gaza. The Iran-armed jihadists in Lebanon have those thousands of short range ballistic missles for a reason and there are also armed Islamist fanatics in Syria to deal with.
