Having a presence in the region as an act of symbolism or theater is a far cry from the United States firing one single bullet, launching one single missile or dropping one single bomb.
If this Government needs to sabre rattle, then sabre rattle. Otherwise, stay the frick out of it and leave this fricked up, savage and barbaric region to it's fate. Whatever that fate may be.
Israel and the Middle East has sucked far too much oxygen out of the global room for far too long.
This is where we find out once and for all whether or not Israel has it in the frickin' pants to solve its own problems. If they don't put an end to it all now, then we'll know for sure Jews are married to their own victimhood and will never divorce themselves from it. It's the one thing Jews and Palestinians have in common. They both wear their victimhood for all to see and they'll both fight to the death to keep it.
