I used to think my Orthodox friends were being too harsh when they said Baptists and Evangelicals aren't Christians.

I was wrong. You people literally fall all over yourselves to worship the Anti-Christ and the devil.

Are you really doubling down on a different account?

Still, I don't hate em. I pity them just like the rest of the lost world. They need Jesus. They don't need exceptionalism and double standards from American institutions.

If they hadn't, He wouldn't be our Savior. I thank them and let God handle any punishment he sees fit. We got bigger fish to fry. Like dealing with moslims that hate both of us, and will proudly die if it meant they took any of us out.

Interesting take...the people standing in solidarity with people whose innocent children and citizens were slaughtered in a surprise attack are worshipping the Anti-Christ and the Devil, and aren't real Christians. And the people celebrating the actions are the good people, because "someone did som-ting" to the group of people you dislike.

It is exactly this mindset that justified the actions of both protestants and catholics across the western world to persecute jews...

The problem you run into is that Israel also kills women and children, and at a much higher rate. They inflict a lopsided death toll on the Palestinians. And most die in collective punishment strikes, like we see in Gaza now. This does not excuse the Palestinians, but from a Christian perspective, this is a problem, because it violates our rules about proportionality. The stronger power is held to a higher standard and its expected to act with restraint.

The calls for ethnic cleansing are also a moral problem (although it’s something that we participated in after WW2 - and shame on us for doing so.) The how is also something that people don’t think through. Are you going to kill and terrorize them till they flee? Like the Croats did. Or will you forcibly imprison them, and transport them somewhere else? May I suggest cattle cars?

Expecting either side to behave in a Christian fashion is unrealistic though, unless we’re talking about the Palestinian Christians, which is a small and unfortunately ever dwindling population. That’s partly do to the decline of the faith as a whole, and the rise of Islam in the region, but it also has a lot to do with the nasty repression that Israel subjected them to. Many left.

Hamas and Israel are at war. Hamas is completely mixed with its civilians and packed into a urban area. If anyone has a idea that defeats Hamas with little civilian casualties I'm sure the world is listening.

In the last war of survival (WW2), the US did whatever it took to crush the Germans and the Japanese. Why shouldn’t Israel do any different?

Sure you don’t set out to kill civilians needlessly, but if the bad guys are hiding amongst the civilians and the civilians are supporting them then what else can you do?

And those citizens support Hamas. They elected them to positions of power in Gaza.

But even more telling was the citizens dancing in the streets after hearing about the Israeli massacre.

Are you really trying to equate aggression and retaliation? Figured with your background that you would realize that lengths the Israel goes to ensure collateral damage is minimized. But if you want to support a terrorist organization that employs human shields while degrading the only democratically elected government in the region….you do you bro!

Religion is so silly. We’d be exploring other planets by now if we didn’t have the 2,000+ years of Jews, Muslims, and Christians fighting amongst each other and within their own ranks.

Ah the classic, “Look what man can do. We don’t need God.”

That mindset has such a wonderful track record through human history.

I keep hearing that the Palestines are more or less being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza also. If so....why did they vote for Hamas to be in charge years ago? Also, Israel was allowing many Palestine laborer workers to cross into their country to earn a living. There is no way some of these people didn't know where Hamas had inclaves, HQ's, missiles, etc. not to let Israel know what was coming! That and the hatred of the Jews by the vast majority of them more or less IMO brought a lot of this back on them. It's the innocent ones on both sides that need our prayers.

So all Americans support ol Joe?

Just look up the election and see the numbers. If people want to believe that all the women, children and grandmas are down with Hamas thats life. But studying 10,000 years of human history says to me its not 100% and my Christian soul says there are innocents there and everywhere on the planet.

I pray for a quick victory, a Hamas defeat and the protection of the innocents.
