Yeah, this is the start of it all. If 3 guys start speaking in tongues on the wailing walls, then game over.

CorchJay, you come across very Crass as a man who follows Jesus, and that’s not how Jesus would want things. Instead, tell him your view ( as is your duty to spread the gospel), and then be done. It’s not up to to you to force a decision or belittle what he believes.

He’s in a cult. He has no Bible or defined belief. He picks scripture he likes from various texts depending on how he can manipulate his interpretation.

It’s not for you to judge him either.

Btw, this is very serious stuff. These events, if it plays out the way it is written, in all forms of whatever you believe does not end good

Assuming you are talking about Corch? Don’t answer that. I know. He’s probably making signs to boycott college football games tomorrow. That is not the way to bring people to god.

I realize I might be asking for the moon here, but does anyone have any podcast, YT, or Rumble recommendations for intelligent content that speculates on how this could tie into some of the prophecies in Revelation?

Here you go. Baruch Korman is a Messianic Jew and explains the conflict with great insight except that this sermon was from two years ago.

The Book of Obadiah - Jacob and Esau at War - A prophecy.

No, dummy. It means that it shows the accuracy of the Bible and prophecy. You see, people who watch the news know what happens in our world. People who know and understand Bible Prophecy understand why it happened.

Well, I Israel keeps their promise, then the Prophecy that the whole World will be aligned against and surround Israel in the end times will be sure thing, soon.

Christians are Israel or the "chosen" ones in the New Testament not the ethnic Jews. I don't understand how anyone could be a Christian, read the New Testament, and still think the ethnic Jews are God's "chosen" people. They DON'T believe the one basic belief of Christianity that Jesus IS the Messiah.

Then how was the book of revelation written after. And Daniel prior.

Most scholars date the writing of Revelation to the 60s AD, prior to the destruction of the temple. Some scholars date it to the 90s AD, but that doesn't logically follow given a lot of the details in the book.

quote:

Typical Catholic view just like a Catholic will say the earth will never end. When Rev. 21 clearly states there will be a new heaven and new earth.

This is just false. The Church dogmatically teaches that this earth shall pass, and there will come a new heaven and a new earth. See Catechism 1040.

quote:

Rapture come from the words “caught up”. It’s clearly shown multiple times in the Bible. Enoch, Elijah are both a view of the rapture play many other examples like Daniel not going into the furnace.

Yeah the problem with the evangelical view is that scripture doesn't show us being "caught up" and then going back to Heaven with Jesus for a short period of time prior to final judgment. It shows us being "caught up", and then the final judgement occurs immediately after.

quote:

To understand wars and rumors of wars would be understanding what is going on. Just the past 125 years we have essentially had 2 world wars. Then constant conflict between nations and ethnic groups during any big wars. That should point you in a direction that war is a common thing now.

This has been common for all of human history.

quote:

The quoted above did have something correct Rome is the whore in the Bible the only problem is Rome would be considered the Catholic Church of today. So the Catholic Church is the whore.

What's funny is you claim the Catholic church was invented in the 4th century, yet John prophecies about the Whore of Babylon 300 years prior. He's talking about what must SOON take place. He tells people alive in the 60s AD that they can figure out who the beast is, meaning the beast is present at the time of this writing.

So either the Catholic church isn't the whore, or you have to admit the church was firmly established prior to John's vision in the 60s AD in order for it to be the whore.

The Whore is the Pagan Roman Empire

For someone who claims to have been a "devout" catholic for much of his early life, you sure do know absolutely nothing of what the Church teaches. Then again, only bad Catholics become Protestant.

I first heard of the Amillennial view from Voddie Baucham. This is where I hang my hat. I highly recommend anyone in this thread watch some of his sermons, in particular ones on this topic.

Exactly, though I doubt a dispensationalist will want to talk church history (their Left Behind book fantasy is not a long held belief). You either choose the RCC as your "whore" and acknowledge it traces directly back to Jesus (we can Apostolic Succession later) or you can admit that dispensationalists are Biblically illiterate.

Also, for those casually browsing the thread, Israel (country created in last 70 years) is not one and the same with Israel of the old testament. Great branding to choose the same name, but there is no reason to believe a country settled by Ashkenazi and euro descendants is one and the same with a people who were dispersed.

But I think the Bible says there will be peace, and that seems unlikely

The peace will be brokered by the aniti Christ. Then he will double cross Israel and a huge army will attack Israel, with no hope of Israel surviving. Then God will wipe out this army and save Israel. It's all in Ezekiel, around chapters 35-38. I'm pretty sure, I'm probably off in some but that's the general idea.

born catholic here, catholic schooling, and I think the catholic church is the whore of Babylon, early prophecies did not make sense to all, because things had to happen before some mysteries were deciphered, meant to be understood in the end times.the church has sold its soul, satanism and human sacrifice, homosexuallity, happens in the Vatican.a good percentage of our priests are gay and pedo, would a normal straight guy become celebate,no but it happens sometimes.the symbolism is all over the place in the church if you know what to look for.
