The way some folks around here talk about it, you’d think there were millions out defrauding grandmothers and disabled vets all while brandishing rusty machetes ordering your children to shite in boxes at school. All of this being accomplished during the hours of 8am-3pm. If nothing else, you’ve got to admire how efficiently they use the time each day provides.

I’m with you. I try my best to not look down on those people but it’s so damn hard. For some folks,I guess it’s just easier to find a talking head or an intentionally fabricated story that falsely justifies an opinion, rather than accepting reality. There are so many shifting narratives that they are bombarded with multiple times per day. It’s gotten so bad that people inside the administration have conflicting accounts of the same issue. At times being touted during the same presser.
My favorite is when one person is interviewed on multiple shows and gives different answers to the same question depending on which station/show/audience is present.
I was taught at a young age that it’s easier to tell the truth than it is to keep track of all the lies.

If not afraid 24/7 then why feel the need to stay strapped when you go out in public? If your town is really that dangerous then you should move somewhere safer.
Why the need to continuously repeat falsehoods and push racist conspiracy theories? Why make mountains out of a grain of sand? Why is there an entire industry built around keeping a certain demographic angry or scared?
Why are there so many grifters selling fallout shelters/emergency food buckets/financial security in the form of gold bars and coins? Why are their so many talking heads that always brand the perceived threat as “they”? Nobody ever tells you who “they” are. “They” can’t sue for defamation.
