The Wagners say that the viral video seen below doesn't show the full context of what happened leading up to the incident in Shakopee, Minnesota.
The couple says *they* were the ones who were racially targeted by the Somali family.
"This is a situation where a provocateur is capitalizing on political tensions to play the victim, rather than the primary aggressor," a statement from the Wagners' lawyer, Seidlich Law, said.
"First, the clip does not include the statements and racial slurs that were launched at Mr. Wagner that are too inappropriate to be mentioned in a public statement. The circulating clip lacks critical context..."
"The Wagners are the epitome of proud Americans who believe in the dignity and equal worth of every human being, regardless of background."
Seidlich Law says the Wagners are considering pursuing legal action.
